DrBiggly 02-14-2005 10:54 AM

I'm just wondering when they'll open registration for the Atlanta Nat Tour and ProSolo.
KC 02-14-2005 10:59 AM

Probably 5 weeks before the event. Seems to be the going rate.
Patrick L 02-14-2005 09:16 PM

I'll be there at the Arkansas event.

I'd love to go down there because I have relatives not too far away, but the car isn't going to be done in time.

As will I :)
bfrance 02-16-2005 08:09 AM

Me too!
I'll be there too, most likely watching, (I may be covering the event for GRM, hence the "watching" factor.)

I have a similar problem - there are currently Miata parts spread all over my garage.

So Phil, when IS the Frankenpreza going to be operational?
CamaroFS34 02-16-2005 11:21 AM

I haven't decided if I'm going to the Arkansas Tour, the Jax SEDiv or just staying home for a Philly region local event. :)

What are the 'clubs' like in that area? I think that's the only thing that'll entice Karen.

I wouldn't mind helping you co-drive ;)
:p that or a hot codrive offer....
You can co-drive a rather well-prepped SM2 Miata. Only one catch......you'll have to fly up and help me put it back together in time for the event! :p

If Jacksonville is canceled. I plan on going to Arkansas to give you a little competition KC. Carter will be co-driving with me.

( Insert quip about how slow the RX8 is.)

Andrew, how'd you convince Carter to get back into a pig of a 350Z? ;)

FWIW, I might be in Arkansas too, if the Jax SEdiv is cancelled. But Matteucci's already demanded that I drive his BMW if I do show up. ;)

Karen
del105 02-18-2005 01:11 PM

Karen, Carter works for Nissan. He has a new 350z on order but its not here yet, so I figured I could learn something by letting him drive mine until then. I really hope Jax happens, it is a much better spot imo.

Hotter drunker girls in Jax on springbreak.

Hello Understeering and anemic GS! :)
10th Warrior 03-09-2005 03:05 PM

if the tires fit, the RS will have some new life breathed into it. good luck!
Patrick L 03-14-2005 09:12 PM

Well only a few more days. I am going to drive out there Thursday so I can get am many practice runs I can get on Friday. The car has been great and fast ever since the mounting of the r-tires.
10th Warrior 03-15-2005 11:41 AM

but is it bimmer fast?
Patrick L 03-15-2005 01:55 PM

We shall see. I'll probably fighting for 2nd as Brian is going to be there with his 325i. He's running 275's with fender flares.

:D you gonna be at the Houston Tour? I get to run Brian's car there. We can have a Dallas Pro rematch!! ;)

Karen
Patrick L 03-15-2005 08:01 PM

No, I can't make it to Houston. Too close to the Arkansas event. I'll probably goto Denver.
ratt_finkel 03-16-2005 11:49 AM

The practice run thing is Friday correct? I won't be able to make it till midnight friday :(
Patrick L 03-16-2005 01:13 PM

Yes, from 11am-3pm, $2 per run.

Chance of rain Sunday.

Not sweet about the runs.

I wonder if the wheels will still be exposed?

10th Warrior 03-16-2005 02:13 PM

the forcast is too far away to be useful. anyway, for once i hope it doesn't rain since i don't think we have rain tires :o

anywho, we'll be starting our 3 hour tow friday afternoon. enjoy the long drives, suckers :p

gonna try and make the tires fit tonight :D
CamaroFS34 03-16-2005 02:52 PM

OMG, he keeps telling me he needs to do the fender flares -- I didn't realize it looked that bad!!!

There was tape on the exposed metal bits last time I saw the car two weeks ago.
dwx 03-16-2005 03:59 PM

Haha that's what my SM impreza is going to look like this year. 10" wide rims+98 Impreza == low rider. I've yet to decide whether I want to take the sawzall to the fenders like that though, depends what kind of ride height I can get. If it comes down to it though, the sawzall and hammers are coming out, but it looks too nice right now so I don't want to think about it.
10th Warrior 03-16-2005 04:31 PM

Karen, i knew you were all show and no go :p

plazma cutter > sawzall.
ratt_finkel 03-16-2005 04:53 PM

Haha, that's pretty bad Brian.
dwx 03-16-2005 05:11 PM

Yeah if I did it, it wouldn't that bad. That's the "I don't care at all and just want more clearance" job.
CamaroFS34 03-16-2005 06:27 PM
Yeah if I did it, it wouldn't that bad. That's the "I don't care at all and just want more clearance" job.
No, I think it was the "I want more clearance, and I've run out of time" problem. :) He told me last week, "I don't think I'll have the fenders done for the Houston Tour." :o I'll have to tell him I've got higher standards than Chris Ramey after seeing that picture. ;)

And, c'mon, Jeff! You've always known I'm all about the bling! I mean, really, haven't you ever looked at my Camaro rims? ;)

Karen
10th Warrior 03-17-2005 11:36 AM

c'mon, Karen! have i ever actually seen a car you own :p

anyway, fit the new tires on the car last night. they went on suprisingly easy! no hack job required ;)
TyrannoSullyRex 03-17-2005 12:16 PM
No, I think it was the "I want more clearance, and I've run out of time" problem. :)
Yeah, it was the "El Paso tour is next week and these tires are effin huge" problem. Seen it a million times.

We were thinking about the effin huge tires, but you can't cut away as much on a sedan as you can a coupe. It's still on the table though.

It's clear there isn't much room between the door and the edge of the fender.
ratt_finkel 03-18-2005 11:28 AM

Looks like the rain has been pushed back until Monday. :(
KC 03-18-2005 11:31 AM

Have fun and take names!
ratt_finkel 03-18-2005 12:33 PM
Have fun and take names!
I'm gonna try!

Not looking forward to the 6 hour drive I have to make tonight. Nor the early tech at 7.
