^^lol burn.

375 is a bit excessive

Funny how people think if its really expensive it must be good. Because being able to hold you in at 340mph is comforting. Only thing it would be holding is your dead body.

theres also options where you can add additional straps to make the 4 points into either 5 or 6 points harnesses .

billy boi,

I saw that, but that's even more cash. Plus, if their website is accurate, the anti-sub belts are 3" wide, which is way too wide. That would be fairly uncomfortable.

As far as I know, Takata harnesses justify their high costs with bling. Them be some puurty green harnesses.

But honestly I can't see what Takatas do over Schroth or Sparco harnesses that can be had for cheaper.

only wear em on the track.....
for a daily driver, there is absolutely no justification. if you race it though, it will end up doing you a favor.

but don't be that guy who opens the door in the grocery store parking lot so that people can watch him during the five minutes it takes to get out of the harness:lol:
That dude has to be really really big to take 5 minutes to get out ... I think without seatbelts, he takes 5 minutes to get out too ... it takes 1 second for me to turn the release knob and all the straps will be unfastened.

You couldnt pay me enough to be in that seat with those harnesses holding me in. You have the harnesses draped over a CF bar attached to a Cusco Cage. WTF?

Those harnesses would be a lot safer without that bar.
billy boi 04-18-2006 04:03 PM
Unless they provide some safety benefit or extra feature to increase their utility like an easy to use clasp I can't see the justification for the price. From the pictures I've seen the only differentiating quality these harnesses possess is their flagrant green color which serves to easily distinguish them from the non-exorbitantly priced offerings from quality companies like Scroth, Sparco, RCI, and others.

to each his own. But it's no surprise you were received with greater acclaim on the RSX forums as they seem to advocate this type of conspicuous consumption a bit more than the NASIOC crowd. I'd expect you'd get flamed hard-core on the Evo and DSM forums I frequent, though that's not alarming considering their frugality.
NASIOC has an option you can setup to ignore posts from certain users. However, there should also be an option so you can highlight posts from certain users. You sir, would be part of the latter group of users.

OP : Nice car (in general) you have there. What kind of tracks do you usually visit? Are you more into autoXing or trackdays? Or both? :)
