"box" style wing comparison part 1

"box" style wing comparo
lol sorry for calling them "box" style, but i dont know what else to call them! anyway, ive been looknig into different wings for my WRX, and what would you suggest? My car is a black, wingless sedan, so filling the holes left over by a factory spoiler is not an issue. LED brakelights, i dont care either way if i have one or not. My car will remain stock looknig for about a year, and then i plan on adding anthracite 18" wheels and a drop. I have been looking into:

22b replica style

Wings West Pro Wing

Wings West Skyliner Wing

The kaminari wing, without the CF center section

im open to any suggestions! My only qualification is that it must be high quality, look nice painted, and be around $500 or under. I also prefer no bottom section (a la 22B style), but i am looknig into those also. Also, where can i get the best prices? I've been looking at vivid racing, and if theres any place out there with better prices, i'd appreciate the hook ups! thanks!

The wings west wing is of extremely high quality. Took very little prep before painting, and the fit was perfect. Here's a picture of it on my car.

w00t! deffinately goin for the wings west wing! now....what are the official names for these kinda spoilers?
TonyWRX 11-05-2002 05:58 PM

ummm....HIGH rear spoilers? 22B replicas....everyone seems to call any wing that tall a 22B replica..
nqwan 11-05-2002 06:53 PM

i wish the wings west pro wing had a brake light in it. imo it would sooo much better :)
TonyWRX 11-05-2002 07:51 PM

does anyone know where you can find wings that are smaller in height than the 22B replica or these? These seem to be too tall for the back end...i wish they made a midwing of some sorts. There closest i've seen is the Ociari wing...

yea exactly what i mean
Elite421 11-05-2002 09:50 PM

TonyWRX- you can get those spacers to put under your stock wing. They look pretty good. Also a Rs spoiler would procally work with a little work.

yea i've thought of that before, i wonder if anyone has ever tried that
garface 11-06-2002 12:32 AM

The real 22B wing does have a bottom section.
Derk1127 11-06-2002 01:47 AM

i wonder if the wings west pro wing will fit on a gc8...

No it wont...

Also does that wing fit the stock mounting positions i could have sworn it doesnt???

Derk1127 11-06-2002 02:10 AM

it seems as though the WRX trunk is flat, and the gc8 trunk is flat so....
