How Do I Remove '04 Fog lights ??

I did a search, but found no instructions, but if you have a link, please post it.
I have an '04 WRX and finally broke down and ordered the STI fog light covers. My question is, what is the easiest way to remove the stock fog lights ? And, the STI fog light covers will just snap into place after the fog lights have been removed right ? Thanks for any info on this !!

you can keep the fogs in and just replace the surround

Do they really ?? So I can snap the STI fog covers on, without
having to jack with the fog lights and removing them ?
I thought I had to remove the fog lights and the whole surround area
of the foglights.

yep. ive done it with my car. you can turn on the fogs and get some light seeping through the air vent for no reason. :banana:

like everyone else said, u just need to pop off the surrounds...then u can pop the covers in...ur done...

Very cool, I'm glad to hear that. So how do I remove the surround area.
I guess I would have to get at it from under the bumper huh ?

Reach under the bumper and feel around for the clips. They pretty much just pop right out. Be careful of the paint though. I scratched my bumper a little bit with the clip on the end of the surround.

if you look at the covers from the front you'll see a little notch. i cover a key/screwdriver with a rag and pop that one section free and then pull it off with your hand.

OK, the last 2 posts threw me off....do I need to pop the clips
under the bumper, or do I just need to pop the surround off with

And while I'm writing, does anyone think the STI fog light covers
on a base WRX is ricey? I of course will be removing the STI logo
from them, so I won't be posing. Just wanted an opinion or two on that.

I don't think it's rice, heck, I'd leave the STi stickers on them too. I doubt that anyone here is going to call you a poser for leaving the STi sticker on the STi fog covers. If you're really worried about it, go put some more STi parts on your car and fly the finger at the first person that dares to call you a poser.

Hope your's don't get jacked. Some ****ERS jacked them off of my car while I was at work. They pop out real easily, so you should find a way to secure them down, so its not so easy to steal. Lets not create a trend right? :disco:

Yeh, I have heard that they are easy to steal.
But then again, what about a car is hard to steal, you know.
If they want it, they'll get it. I have an STI front sway bar,
but no other STI parts, so I think I'll remove the STI stickers. :D

Well cool, when these fog light covers come in, then I'll pop those bad boys off and put the STI covers on. I think it'll look sweet !!

I love my corner splitters. They make the car look much more aggressive with or without the foglight covers and/or STi hood scoop (I have all three).

Hell yeh it looks good. Your car looks like a standard STI, minues the big wing. Nice job man !! :D I think evetually I'll get the side splitters too, they look too damn cool to not consider getting them.

Fog covers aren't rice at all. Subaru should have given us the big fogs. Putting the covers on is just fixing their mistake without having to spend $600 for the JDM fogs.
