Dunno where to post this so I posted it here...
Just wanted to let my anger out!!!
Stupid Subaru crap sheet metal... washed my car today and found a ding/scratch (took care of scratch with Meguiar's Scratch X) on the passenger front door... must have been from a stupid shopping cart or something because the ding is actually a line, not a dot.
I am sooo freakin careful as to where I park my car ALWAYS and somehow I ***** keeps happening to my car... what the hell!
I hate stupid people that don't respect other people's car... they should burn in hell :mad: .

I undertand your pain. I have this dent about the size of a quarter in the section right behind the rear doors... Its definately from someone opening their door into my car. I hate those people

thats my situation too, you really have to dent the car when its new so you get over all the rest of the dings to come in the future

I just wish Subaru would use a better sheet metal and paint... coz all the rock chips on the front bumper and hood and everywhere else sucks too... sigh...

Yea, I bought my car used and the previous owner SUCKED...i find a new dent or ding every day lol....I plan on gettin everything fixed soon. I hate looking at it.

if the parking lot isnt busy, i take up 2 spots. but only if im not going to be in the place fora long time...

I'm forced to park in an overstuffed parking garage and I already have 3-4 dings in my car from other people opening up there doors. I swear if I ever catch someone dinging my door that might be the last day they see!!! Anyone know a place in San Diego that can get door dings out cheap? I tried that door ding remover crap but it doesn't work.

I HAD the same problem with crowded parking until I found this guy with a nice car and made a deal with him. We both decided to get there a little early and basically park with our passenger doors within inches of each other. Man that sounds ghey, but it allowed enough space on the other side of our cars to prevent other stupid fng a-holes to ding us.

My biggest dent in the drivers side door is from some stupid kids throwing a piece of wood like a frizbee over a fence and right into my car... BAMM... It scared me when it hit (I was cleaning the car inside) and I wasnt sure what the hell happened... but when I took a look there was a huge piece of wood on the ground right under a ripe dent and the kids were running away. I felt like jumping in my car and giving them a little dent with the bumper.

Welcome to my world, I have a deepass dent in the right rear quarter panel...with a huge scratch in it too...I have had my car for 6 months now and it was pretty good looking when I bought except for that dent and then another scratch...but since they were already on the car when I bought it didn't bother me as much...and now I just washed and waxed my car and found like 6 on the passengers side doors and 3 on the passenger front fender (and me having SRP paint makes those two fenders the most badass part of the car because of the way it reflects light)...I didn't even want to look at the driver's side...I am pissed as hell...can you say PDR!...damn...$*#& the people who don't know how to open a damn door...you're right, they belong in hell

i have a dot on my hood from acorns, a couple on top of the car from acorns....looks horrible but it happens =/

I have scratches, scrapes, abrasions, dents, dings, knicks, chips, all sorts of goodies on my baby. My biggest complaint though is the damn sun-swirls and the knicks from highway travel during winter... that's aggrivating. Especially when they go deep enough to see the black plastic under my bumper paint.

man. i was there when these two wreckless girls where heading to there car. they were giggling all happy jolly this n that. i parked sooo close to the wall that there was at least a yard of space between both of our cars. the driver opens her door swinging it almost wide open and was like a 1cm from dinging my door. so i decided to unlock my car soon after she had done that and she said sorry because she thought she had triggered my car alarm.
the other time was when i had a feeling that my car was going to get dinged. i always park close to the curb if im at the end of the line in which i did to avoid stupid old people who cant park with some space along with soccer moms, gangstas who park however the like, ignorant women, and people who dont give a crap about there arm and leg priced bently. i was eating at a restaurant with a window straight in front of me with a clear view of my car.and this f'ing non english speaking beaner family with several wild brainless kids park right next to me. i had a strong feeling that she was going to hit my car soon cuz she couldnt park for beans. she did manage to park (sooooo f'ing close to my car) then her kids opened their doors with at least 1cm from my car. scary.

oh yeah... if i had a daily beater i would park so close to other peoples cars and swing my SOB of a door so hard into their cars. hey i might even rig my doors with little nails to pierce thru their damn doors. i might even think of having that along but the nail would stay and leave a calling card saying BE KIND TO OTHERS AND PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS NOT TO OPEN YOU DOORS INTO OTHER PEOPLES CARS. thank you

I thought i had a good idea of having "dent wizard" take out my dings, no charge since we use them at work. Well there was about 7 dings they took care of, all looked good for a little while. About a month later, every last ding repair is not chipping. Instead of 7 dings, i now have several more paint chips all over the car!! Some day i'm gonna get it repaainted and better than subaru does!!

you think your shopping cart damage is bad, look below what happend to my STi I just traded for on monday. I was at Wal-mart going maybe 20-25 mph and it came out of nowwhere.

i had acorns hit my car and i had over 42+ dents all over it. my insurance covered it and i ended up getting the whole car painted, got a new hood too.

Everyone go to your local forum and find out who the good ding removers in your area are. I've had great luck with a guy that works for the local Honda and Chevy/Lotus/previously Lambo dealer chain. He's really amazing. Took out two dents another shop told me they wouldn't touch, including on trim lines.
I recently brought over a friend's 92 325i with 168k miles and plenty of dings and dents and they quoted me $400-450 for the full car (there were probably at least 14 dings and dents). It's most economical if they take out more than one or two... But you've got what you've got.

All I have to say is dont buy a yakama roof rack. I bought one to cart around bikes (I used to put them in the back seat of my last car). Now i have rather large dents in all four contact points.

Completely agree with the fragility of our cars. Within the first week I got this nice dime sized door ding in a parking from some SUV. Drove me to the brink of insanity :mad: I park at least a mile away from any location at all times.....love my car. Then...wouldn't you know it...5 months later a Dodge Ram blindsides me and runs off before I can even get out of my car. :furious:

try having your car at college, I bought the car used with 2 door dings, I'm up to 36 and counting after ~2 years.
