Let's see your N/A engine bay.

I did the search and found nothing. I posted pix of my car finally and have only got negative remarks about my engine bay. Apperently you don't like the color choices.
I would only like to see naturally aspirated engine compartments because with a turbo or supercharger your engine automaticaly looks sweet.

Although it's not my style, I don't think it's the color choice......it's the zip ties that don't look right to me. It's way too busy and untidy. .....it's just my opinion though.

I'm not looking for opinions, I am looking for photos.
So, lets see em...........
I see what you are saying, but it looks alot different in person.

I like that grounding mod. I'm working on one for myself using 4 gauge streetwires... In yellow of course :)

impreza2000,

I got one package of each size. I have a lot left over but I use it when I add other mods and you need to have the size selection for it to fit properly. I also took out the entire harness and did it on a bench. two packs of 4" zip ties is enough. you can get matching colors but, I was going for major color explosion look.

Actually its a cone filter on a 4" piece of 3" pipe with a 1/2" hole drilled in the side for a 1" piece of 1/2" pipe welded to it for connecting the required vacume hose that runs to the intake manifold. The small filter you see to right of the ignition is for venting the valve train.
I'm not here to tell anybody how to do their cars but, I like this setup just fine. I have an aluminum flywheel and the pulleys which give back some of the power at low end.
I'm starting to make a new 3" pipe section with three blades welded inside to get the vortex going and make the engine work a little harder to get the air. Maybe this will build torqe or maybe it will just suck.....

'02 TS. Just about everything is black and/or unorganized. I'll try to find a better pic. Custom built twin throttle body/intake manifold in the next month.

It's just a Weapon R intake tube, and the K&N I had was too big so I cut the bottom off a generic old cone filter I had in the garage that did fit, sealed them together and stuck it on the tube. The tube itself isn't bolted to anything, just clamped onto the throttle body. The K&N is big enough to keep it in place.

bolting tube

how do you keep the tube/filter from bouncing around w/o bolting it up somehow other than just clamped on at the throttle body?

| jasona | 06-14-2003 02:29 AM |
The filter rests against the fenderwell in several spots. I know it sounds flimsy, but it's stuck...
| KSs2001RS | 06-14-2003 02:37 AM |
k&n smaller?

my k&n looks like would bounce around - will have to shoot some pics so you can see what i'm referring to. i would be worried about driving on the freeway w/o it bolted it up some way.
