Some Dirty Bastard Keyed My Car!
Parked at my house! I think I am going to cry, or smash something :devil:
Is there any way to have it touched up and have it look right, or am I just looking at having to repaint those four panels...

Can't advise you without seeing how deep the scratches are. Might take it to your dealer to see what they advise.

I do live in an apartment complex, but I was parked on the end, so there was no way it was accidental. The scratches go to the primer, and I can feel them, but they don't go to the metal. They are visible, of course.
I haven't gotten any dirty looks, I think it was someone who just wanted to be an ass. I sure wish I had seen them do it (who wouldn't). I'd have loved to hose them down with some pepper foam.

I just had mine keyed on friday, yep right after thanksgiving. I am getting an estimate on mine tommorrow I will let you know the price when I find out. Oh yeah mine goes from the drivers door to my tail light, 3 pannels.

this has been my fear... sometimes i walk outside and see people looking at it... mostly they are nice people... just makes me nervous though... do you have an alarm conduit... I tried putting my alarm on super sensitive... but when the sun comes out and starts melting the snow the car goes off..!!!??? stupid

I just got back from the body shop here is what they quoted:
They are going to repaint the entire drivers side of my car, remove the following headlight, doorhandles, antenna, side markers, and tail lamp. The cost of everything is approximately $850.00. This should also take at least 4 days. Needless to say I did contact the insurance company.

Dear god =( I also presume that you have a deductable, so a sizable amount of that is coming out of your pocket, right? I haven't called my insurance company yet because of the holiday. I'm also really nervous about getting the car painted, since I have yet to have one paint job look right when the car was only partially sprayed. Any thoughts on this, or am I just being paranoid?

Yes I do have a deductable ($500) but this what I did, I asked my family to instead of giving me a gift for my b-day and x-mas to contribute to my "Save the WRX fund". Believe it or not this actually did work, I have enough to cover my deductable. The body shop that I take my work to offers a full lifetime warrenty on all parts, paint, and labor. I have had 4 cars done there. Only 1 did not turn out to well (color did not match exactly) I took it back and in one week they repainted the parts and this time they did match exactly. The place is a large shop locally owned, in Sarasota. Its called Automotive Clinic Body Shop. I have known the guy from when he first started the business (my dad did his books) so it is the only place I trust round here. My car is going in next monday, I will let you know how it comes out.

Your insurance company will cover it if you claim it under vandalism. However, you will still need to pay the deductible. Good luck man. Death to all those who disrespect the all mighty WRX!
