Cheap? HopUp Racing has them for $309 each (black or red). So, the price at K2 is actually expensive...hehe.

Sometimes HopUp gives free shipping, so check that out. Beware however, they have screwed some people over on the boards. It's 50/50. Just make sure they have them in stock before you get too excited. But I will say, their prices are good.

thnx for the advice

i used to have those seats in red/black. pretty snug fit. would NOT advise taking a road trip in them! and those do look like the real deal.

i am way too fat for those seats
in fact, im pretty sure 90% of the US is too fat for those

Those look like the real ones. I had them in my civic. If you are tall (5'8"+), not skinny (160+, 32"+), don't get them. They are very snug and I would say built for a short, thin person. They are not expensive seats, they are light, but they feel very flexy. I didn't find them to be uncomfortable, but not very comfortable. But, they keep you planted if you fit in them. The wide version is a little better, but if you are tall, stay away from these seats.

Oh, you are PERFECT for these seats. I sold my Civic to my step brother and he is just a tad larger than you and he fits in the seat perfectly.
I will warn you that you will need to make your own brackets or build one out of universal parts. Buddy Club doesn't have anything for you.

Would you say 5'11 is too tall? Also about 140-145lbs.
| evoeater8 | 07-15-2006 08:07 PM |
what is real... you think thats air your breathing? lol
| Handsdown | 07-15-2006 08:08 PM |
are any of the sparco or corbeau seats(200-250 range) small enough for someone of japanese stature?
| littlewhitewagon | 07-15-2006 08:15 PM |
I am 5'11" and I was too tall. You will hit the top of the seat (that has a little lip) against your brain stem area. It hurts...TRUST ME... I ended up building a custom bottom cushion to lower my body into the seat. Worked well, I fit in the seat height wise and also got more bolstering since I was deeper in the seat.
I have a Sparco Sprint in the garage and it is a LOT more roomy than the Buddy Club. I think the MOMO is actually better for a smaller JDM figure...ahahah.

Im 6'2" and 190 and these seats (wide version) Fit me perfectly
| littlewhitewagon | 07-16-2006 09:09 PM |
Perhaps you don't have a very long upper body. I buy 33x33 jeans and the rest is up on top. If you are 6'2", and your head doesn't end up higher than the top of the seat, you either slouch , modified the bottom cushions, or have a short upper body. Everyone has their own tastes in fit, but as far as the measurements of the seat, they just don't fit people that are over 5'8" very well...

Oh well Jamie, he's being stereotypical. People with a decent amount of Asian heritage do tend to have smaller body frames though. That was still an uncalled for remark.

im sorry but im just going by the averages.
i dont have any problems with asian people. i just think that if i am a manufacturer, and i am asian, i am going to make products that fit me and most of my customers, which are asian.
again, its just my observation. nothing meant to be deragatory.

the wides are wider, but no taller...

my head is over the top of the seat. Never said it wasnt. Sure its a little work getting out, But so is every Bucket seat. Just pull on the handle when getting out. Thats what its for.
A bucket/Racing seat is supposed to hold you snug, Not let you move around. Its doing what its ment to do...
