Auger Armrest Cover for my STi Limited

Here is my new Auger armrest cover. Matches my STi Limited's interior better than the pics represent.

The photos don't do it justice. The camera flash makes things look strange. When you are in the car, the colors match.

I agree, crazy move. Especially when the GC/GM 2.5RS came with red stitch seats as an option, for pete's sake.
I have a similar armrest cover in my RS, only mine's from Redline Goods.

My seats are stock, but I went with dealer-option leather from a nearby interior shop (this pic was taken before I put the armrest cover in).

Yes, that would have looked sweet. Also with red stiching on the STi seat logo instead of the grey... but oh well, I like them except for the fact that they sit so high.

Looks great....Will be ordering one for my Limited later today!

That's funny, I just came accross there website today, and I'm thinking about doing the shift boot, e-brake boot, and console... all in black with red stitching. However, I can't decide whether or not to do the red stitching on the console cover... I don't know if I want it to match the other boots or the seats (which as you know doesn't have red stitching!) How does that thing feel? I mean I know there isn't any cushion to it, but it has to feel better than just that hard plastic stock cover. Anyway, looks good, I like it.:)

Well, I got mine installed and have to say I love the look. I had ordered the S204 or JDM shift trim and it came with a boot, thus I had two different boots for the shifter and the e-brake. That and I always hated the plain plastic center console lid so I had always wanted to cover that... sooooo I ordered the three piece set. Here they are installed:

I have the SAME shifter trim piece.. the boot is DEFINATLY different than the standard STI shifter trim/boot... please tell me I can get that!!
Where and how much?! Everyone I inquired about it said no they couldn't make it for that shifter trim piece..
OMG I am so happy that you posted this picture!
more info!
EDIT: Going to their site they only have the boots for the normal shifter trim piece,,, I don't see the option for the s204/JDM shifter trim piece..
:-(

Nigel,
I thought when he said
I had ordered the S204 or JDM shift trim and it came with a boot
he meant that he bought the trim from another source & got a boot with it.
hopefully he will clear it up, one way or the other.

This blows!
I was so excited to get a nice one just like that... the jdm shifter trim pieces comes with a black boot that is much shorter all around but has a lip on the inside to push the fabric out like how you see in that picture...
hmmmm...
*keeps fingers crossed for a boot for the jdm shifter trim.

Sorry for the confusion guys! To clarify I ordered the JDM/S204 style shift trim from:
http://www.renickmotorsports.com/oscommerce/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=676_721_724&products_id=1528
The shift & e-brake boot and console cover I ordered from:
http://augerresources.com/sti.htm
There is a shift boot that is included with the JDM style shift trim, however it had a different "grain" pattern and color than the stock e-brake boot. It bothered me to have a shift boot and e-brake boot that didn't match, so I ordered the boots and console cover. The regular shift boot you see on the Auger site is the one I ordered and as you can see it fits perfectly! Hope that clears things up!
Oh, and NewShocker... the piece that came with the JDM shifter trim that pushes the boot up like you mentioned... I am still using that with the new Auger boot.

Can you get the auger boots in a shorter height, for short shifters?

I think Auger is going to get 799 orders for center console covers in the next few days! haha

looks great. matches with the E-BRAKE pretty well.
Can you get the auger boots in a shorter height, for short shifters?
Unlike the Redline products, Auger doesn't seem to offer a shorter boot for short shifter, but my car happens to have the Subaru optional short throw shifter, however, I don't know how it compares to other aftermarket sts'. In spite of that I think the Auger boot looks good.

I agree... the basic plastic console really need to be covered. Apart from making it match better to the interior, it feels better with the cover as apposed to no being covered.

I agree... I just wish I could find a real S204 shift knob with the red stitching but I really like the red stitching on the boots!

I noticed that it looked good with the shorter shifter. I am in the middle of doing a console swap from an 06 STi, and I am keeping the STi type boot, because I've made my 6spd knob into a 5spd knob, and the shift boot will still be help up like the STi boots. I have the SPT wrx short shifter, and I just don't want it to look too sunken.

06STIGO13: What colour black did you choose? There's quite a few options and the black you have seems to match the Limited
<--- ;)
leather quite well.
edit: And what colour stitching? Light grey or dark grey? They have too many options....

Squashman... I just selected the "black" console cover with black stitching. I think it matches pretty well too. I was originally going to go with black with red stitching to match the boots, but decided I wanted it to match the seat and door panels instead, but I agree there are a lot of choices! BTW is this you:

I agree having choices is great. I looked at the Redline boots as well, but in the end I liked the look of the Auger products better. The Redline stuff was too "grainy" for lack of a better word. The smoother grain of the Auger product was just the look I was going for, but the Redline stuff is real leather, although I don't really consider that a big plus. I think anyone would be happy with either product though, they both look better than the OEM stuff!
