Based on looks: Gram Lights 57c or Crimson K6?

Hey guys,
I just need some opinions on some wheels. I can't decide between 17X7.5 gram lights 57c's in gunmetal vs. the 18X8 crimson k6's in satin black. Can you guys tell me what you think? Keep in mind that my ride is sonic yellow with jdm headlights and some carbon stuff. Thanks.

Nice wheels but I HATE universal lug patterns... I think they look awful.
But the grams are probably lighter, but they both look good.

Gram Lights man, they look really good. Tell use what you decide!

still kinda leaning toward the crimson's because they're 18"s and with around a 2" polished lip. Also, not too many people have them. More opinions please!

I have the Limix Lineas (made by Crimson). They look identical to the K6's and Im always getting compliments on them. I almost bought a used set of 57c's from a local member, but decided on the lineas. Only because I got a great deal and I had a good set of 18" S03's to be put to use. No regrets at all, get the K6's.
Only downside is not many bbk's fit under the mine, not an issue with teh K6 but I believe they are a bit heavier than the Lineas and gram lights

i have the crimson k6's on my 02 wrx, and these things can clear BBK's with NO problem. If i could choose again, i would go with the Crimson's. I'm just not a personal fan of the gram lights....never have been. Even though i'm not too fond of these crimson's either...but between the 2...the k6's win.

The Limix Lineas/K6 has always been a favorite of mine and there are very few 'look alike's' as there are with the GL's.

The Gram light isnt a universal pattern, it just looks that way. I would go with the Gramlights if youre looking for performance and the K6 if youre just going for looks!

Thanks guys. I really like how light the gram lights are (somewhere around high 16 lbs.) but I was leaning toward 18"s because of our fenders. Also, there are a lot of copies of the GLs and I sorta think they're overpriced due to Ray's standard name. After all, I wanna be different (that's why I got sonic yellow in the first place). Any more opinions before I buy?

you can choose other brands of wheels...volk's aren't the only one suites in ur car..and yes u are right there are alot of copies of GL's..

I was wondering the same thing. Based solely on looks though, I vote for the Crimsons.

i love my gramlight pros, but im really thinking about getting rid of them for somew wide ass weds
| jarelee | 02-07-2005 03:17 PM |
the weight of the crimson k6's are about 18.5 lb's or so, give or take a tenth depending on your scale.

I vote for black racing pro n1 wheels in the flat black. Would look great with sonic yellow as black always does plus the paint on the wheels is a dark yellow. Goes well with the cf and jdm lights too. They have the thin spoke design of the gramlights (they're actually a copy of advan rg's) and the color of the k6's. Do a search for some pics. Not too heavy either afaik.

crimson in silver is nice (based on looks, I would get the lightest and stongest one ;) )
