Alright, Big Bry the hypocrite has his flame suit on, I found these clusters on directcarparts in the UK, I kinda like them from a distance and since I have a black car, they look kinda cool! I'm trying to dig up some more pix.

I'm saying that too, but I could see those looking cool if they were smoked or the surrounds were painted bodycolor

Bry.
ATX25RS 01-24-2003 02:49 AM

yeah, i believe those have been posted before.....and i agree with the idea that maybe it was color matched.....but ...
BrysImpreza 01-24-2003 02:54 AM

Ya, it's 3am, I haven't slept in days, so I think I slowly might be going insane... kill this thread!

Kinda looks like the Casa Blanca's tails or whatever that thing was called. I'd LOVE to see someone put that full kit on their car.

The only thing we should be concerned about as far as Subaru ownership and modifictions/look to strive for is WRC related items and looks.

As far a "Shogun" fighter kits and all the other junk some of you sport on this site, and Im sure you know who you are.

It is simply nothing less than ridiculous

You dont have a Civic, you have a Subaru...
cindergarden 01-24-2003 02:47 PM

no offense but its not your car and your tastes are right for everyone, its kinda like saying if you own a 180sx , 240sx S14 -15 or any skyline you should only be concerned with drifting , its not everyones taste personally i think Brys got good taste and if that appeals to him let him go ahead and do it man and if you owned a civic youd be shooting for MUgen style not shogun
ZAP 01-24-2003 03:46 PM

I like these tail lights they are the only ones I've seen
that don't look cheap.

I like the JDM lights but unless you know alot about
subarus know one would know the difference and if
I spend the money I want people to notice it. IMHO
romoranger 01-24-2003 04:09 PM

civilian: "hey romoranger, do you know brysimpreza?"

me: "........no, never heard of the guy"

Why? if we all did that then subarus would all look the friggin same. Why don't you open up your mind to something alittle different you clown. Oh and by the way, ya, your car, total rice, being that its from Japan and the term rice rocket came from rice burner which was the slur for any jap made car, it had nothing do to with engine power. So you can do what you want with yours but when you see something new, that you don't like...hmmm, then dont do it to your car.

First of all I didnt attack you.

The truth hurts eh?... LOL Id love to see your typical 300$"fighter" kit take a little pebble and get smashed to peices. Good luck searching for replacement parts

Second of all, the car may be Japanese, but In my opinion, its a lot more popular in Europe than your Civic...or typical ricer

The car is a rally car. Its marketed as a rally car. In fact, I think moving AWAY from the typical ricer scene is where Sub owner should go (which for the most part we do), and believe me, Ive driven my share in Europe, from Opel Vectra's , to turbocharged Fiat Punto's, as well as Ford Escort Cosworths and Sierra's, as well as older STis, and when I roll down the street with my ride, most of the Europeans in my neighborhood ask me about it.

I dont understand where you came from with the "jap car comment"? You kind of prove yourself wrong.. Just because its a "Jap" car, means we need a Jap kit? What do you mean?

and if the truth hurts.. then you know what? Go play with your friggin APC glown in the dark dead pedals , cause to me it looks like crap with those types of kits, as well as taking away from what the car stands for. Turning it into a weird type of "ghetto samurai"

And if you forgot, I also am entitled to my opinion..

Hey did you pick up your Fast and Furious merchandise yet? You must be very excited.

yeah and everyone has done the rally car look, myself included....but then there is a time for a change...its funny how some people can be such hypocrites sometimes....i originally bought the car to be different, i have been on here a while and have seen the changes that went on with the RS....at first most people wanted the "rally" style...then most of us became tired with it...then came a lot of street racer types that went for a nice clean street look...

the marketing behind subaru is simply making mention of it "rally heritage" read your owners manual.."LIMITED OFF ROAD" capability....it is not a rally car, just modeled after one. I love dirt and more than the next guy, but i also like a nice streetable look....yes the FATF style is overplayed, but to each his own....after all i dont remember seeing anyone elses name on my car payment..

so basically, and i am being a hypocrite to, but if you dant have anything nice to say, dont say much at all.....everyone should do what they feel like doing to their OWN car..

Andres

individuality, ingenuity, and creativity is more important in my eyes than abiding to what everybody else thinks.

yea, they would look good if painted the body color..but in that pic above they look tacky.

No i didnt get any fast and furious products but ill let ya know when i do..my point was this..people like you always talk about the rally look and how great it is which i do agree to some extent. But thats all you seem to believe the subaru should be dressed up in. There are some great non rally products out there. If you look up my body kit you'll seem some things about it. It's $2500 to get from japan, extremely strong and flexible and its the only one in the US right now, so not so typical. The list goes on. My jap car comment came from the fact that you ignore this, the rally look is expensive, and sometimes more flashy than ricers out on the streets and all your doing is copying something else, not being all that original, which is considered rice to people. It aggrivates me to hear when people say that subarus should only go this way and that any other way is wrong...god how stupid. Truth does hurt doesn't it? LOL Some products like APC are pretty lame, i agree, but there are tons out there, and the options are so many, why limit yourself to just one style. To you my car is rice, fine whatever, its my car. Ya you are intitled to your own opinion, so have fun with yours and ill have fun with mine.

I dont think your car is rice... I dont recall ever saying that...

Just think that the rally look is better than any of the other "kits"

The term rice is "played out" anyway,

Honestly I'm not the type of person that says rice everytime I see a stupid looking Civic (which happens quite often), suprisingly I even subscribe to Super Street ,AND I even owned a Civic with an Integra engine coupled to a 4wd tranny...what a car BTW, (puked it's guts out during a street race a few years ago). I can even respect some of the Civics I've seen. (Black Spoon hood/Black Spoon wheels, yellow finish...I like it)

I just dont think those kits in general are utilitarian, and complement the car for what it truly is. I mean Subaru's are known for there practicality (4wd, space ..all you wagons out there, as well as rally heritage).

In regards to Andres post:

Limited Off Road Capability? LOL I've got about 5 grand worth of tools in my garage, and enough skills and experience to change that at will ...

Its not "Modeled after the Car" the car is prepared that way (everything is gutted out, roll cage welded in etc..)_ I think theres an article in a recent Super Street regarding how it becomes a rally car, Ill dig it out if required.

So, your body kit isnt wind tunnel tested? Its just modeled after one that is...

OIC STI MAKES Imprezas, and Subaru takes molds of them and mass produces them..... Youre so right man...
cindergarden 01-24-2003 09:28 PM

ive got a kit goin on my car as is , a street kit , but its an authentic JDM Corazon bumper, more style than the rally look nd yet it keeps the style of an impreza with the fogs still there in fact 7" fogs that seat nicely in it , not all street kits are rice and not every car is made or meant to live to its history cause if they were i dont think this forum would exist or this thread cause the only parts for your car taht would be avaible would be through a dealer so you could have the only parts that were "meant" for your car really this is beginning to turn into another pointless thread so lets get back to the issue, : Bry i like em i think you should get em but paint the housing black or a black chrome

i know all i was saying was, as it comes stock, it is not a "rally" car persay...like i said i do rallies and off road driving as much as i can, although now a little less that i have summer tires on. and someone had a point that there really arent that many rally materials readily available....i love rally as much as the next guy, but i am not gonna gut my car for the sake ofgetting the "look" but like i said ..to each his own, and good luck in your venture for a rally car :D
Costas 01-25-2003 01:12 AM

Im just staying true to the "cause"..

The WRC cause..
