I'm looking for a modest spoiler. Anything exist?
I'm not a huge fan of the STi spoiler but I don't like the bare trunk either. Is there anything in between other than the stock WRX spoiler. TIA

I've been looking for a good deal on the mines replica. Anyone know where to get one?
Wraith 08-24-2004 09:13 AM

Wow I didn't know such a spoiler was made..... who sells the mines spoiler?
cboggess 08-24-2004 09:46 AM

Some dude on ebay sells the replicas for fairly cheap.
migs76 08-24-2004 09:57 AM

there was a group buy a while ago, most likely no chance of another.

you can get the authentic mines spoiler from fizz autosports.
jsavage 08-24-2004 10:27 AM

I have the sweetest little sti spoiler. wish I had a camera.
JWerty1 08-24-2004 10:30 AM

mmm zerosports v7 sti carbon fiber wing, just my choice, email for pics
RayO 08-24-2004 11:55 AM

Check the "Personal for sale" on ClubWRX. That group buy on the fiberglass replica is still in progress (they're making and shipping the original orders thru 9/13). You can probably still get in.
That is a good looking spoiler, IMHO. And the feedback on the replicas has been positive so far.
WRXSleeper 08-24-2004 04:26 PM

i have one of the replicas. i just got it yesterday mine was #2 of the batch. i may sell it though simply cause i'm moving out next week and i could use the money for some pots/pans and kitchenwear. :o

02R6 08-24-2004 07:32 PM

Go with the EDM low-profile spoiler

That EDM spoiler can be found at cc-b.com, item # E721SEOOO,

O2R6 beat me to it.

Go with the Mines spoiler.
Go with the Mines spoiler.
No, no, please don't; too many people are getting it ;)
MB38 08-24-2004 08:31 PM

I wish there were better pictures of the Mines spoiler out there. I've seen those three and one of a silver car. That's it.
sspicollo8 08-24-2004 10:43 PM

Vividracing had it on their project WRX 2, so you should be able to find some on the site somewhere.

Saw a GDA WRX With the older L / RS Sedan smaller spoiler on the rear, it didn't look half bad.

Hmm, that Mines spoiler got me thinking - does anyone make a replacement trunk that's actually a different shape than stock? I'm thinking of one that would get rid of of those "bulges" on either side and have a slight lip like the mines (but more integrated obviously).

Thanks, man. It's a good looking spoiler, though, so it was bound to get popular. Honestly, I would have gone with the low-profile EDM spoiler if I hadn't gone with the Mine's rep. Thing about the Mine's is that you can get creative with the mounting process (i.e. molding, double sided tape, leave it on with the stock spoiler, etc.).

I'm almost positive such a decklid does not exist. But let us know if you find one, sounds interesting.

I have a mines replica, I was one of the few forunate ones that didn't get ripped off from the first group buy on these held by modified toys. I haven't had a chance to prep/paint/mount it yet, but I think it is by far the best looking spoiler out there. Subtle and classy. It all depends on what the rest of your car looks like too though... some of those more pronounced front bumper kits need a larger wing to balance them out a bit.

FYI the original mines spoilers cost a ridiculous amount of money... and the carbon fiber version... don't even think about it. haha.
Craven Moorhead 09-15-2004 08:57 PM

We just completed the group buy with CFM all went well he said he would do a run of 5 more if you guys want to pull one together $185 shipped could ship one a day starting Monday.

Point of info: that EDM spoiler at CC-B is part #E721SE000 (3 zeros). I did a copy/paste with the number above and it failed.

That little spoiler is nice. I wish I'd known about it before I put the BMW lip spoiler on my replacement trunk lid. HPH
