hmmm...they look like the ones I have. If they are, they suck :) It slips around everywhere, it doesn't want to stay in the little nub. My WRX floor mats were better.

What do you meen they suck, I have them and have absolutely no problems with them. Did you bother to hook up the the bracket on the right side of the mat so it can snap securely into place?

OHHHHHHHH....The year long mystery is solved  haha.
I bought the car with the mats in them and the dealer threw in these black metal brackets in my glove compartment. I could never figure out what they were for. Guess I'll put them in when my JDM seats come in tommorrow.
Thanks man.

anyone have a pic of said "brackets"
those mats are the stock mats that come with the canadian STi's ... and as everybody says, they do suck because they move all over the place ...
never got those brackets, and no-other STi owner around here ever got them ... just wondering what they are ...
thanks

here's a quick pic I just took of the brackets. I wonder if it'll help with the sliding around when I put them in. These floormats aren't shaped correctly which is why I think they slide around.

Jealous.... nope not at all .
I purchased multiple sets of these back 03' when they came stock on the Canadian STi. At the time it was a simple call to a dealership and presto. Now they are next to impossible to attain, I am suprised you found a set. Bolt in the brackets and the mats won't slide around one bit.
Enjoy the mats...
Rick

yeah I bought mine a little over a year ago from king of imports. I didn't know these weren't readily available anymore.

| drifterATheart | 11-22-2005 10:00 PM |
used to have em in my black 04. but a hole was burned through them and then i wrecked my car and just left them in there.
| fasterthanrayswrx | 11-22-2005 10:03 PM |

Not jealous... My mats from Mastro Subaru are basically the same, except they say "WRX STi" left to right instead of just "STi" top to bottom.

Seems they are now impossible to find, so I was thrilled to get them. Yes, they used to be stock everywhere and then for longer in Canada. NOW NO MORE- I paid $75
SO where do the brackets go?

I paid $75 cad. last month for these. I didn't realize they were so hard to find. Now I am really glad I got them.

I think that the STi mats only really look good on the blue carpet... I was thinking about getting a set of prodrive mats and the same thing. If you dont have the blue carpet under it all kind of looks the same. Yours looks very nice though.

I never even bothered with the brackets and my mats stay in place pretty well. And I am not jealous since I was one of the first people in the US with them ;)

Jealous of you , nah, I own an STi. (good catch though!)

Ive had these mats a while also... although I haven't put in the brackets just yet. I took a quick look, and my brackets don't seem to line up correctly with the seat rail bolts. Anyone have pics of their bracket install?

Have them in my car as well. Also didn't realize they were difficult to get now.
Glad I took them out for the winter then. :)

i'm just a wrx lame-o. the cheap ass plastic clip wouldn't stay in the carpet, so i though to myself, "what would mcguiver do?". i drilled a hole strait through the body and bolted the little fcuker into place.
