| franke3c | 11-02-2005 03:23 AM |
all the other cars they list $399...
| STi-JDM | 11-02-2005 04:41 AM |
looks clean... :) I wonder how it looks on the subies....
| DrD | 11-02-2005 07:05 AM |
That's $399 for two, according to the website - so it'd run you $800 to do the whole car - ouch!
| SplatZ400 | 11-02-2005 07:48 AM |
still cheaper then lambo's

they look horrendous!
the ones on the H2 might as well be orange for the way they stand out.
watch the movie closely; they are using a blur effect so you cant see the outline.
at around 20 seconds after he does the locked / no open, he unlocks it and opens the door. the 'blur' slips and you can see the plate plainly. and it looks worse than the H2.
"Shaved door handle look without having expensive body work and painting done."
- yeah it looks like you glued a color matched piece over the handle.
"Can be molded into the door and made completely invisible, and it's still touch sensitive. "
- or you could take the CGI approach and just blur it out and no one will notice.
it is a cool idea (and dates back to the 50's, i think),
but the execution needs some work.

i was about to say the exact same thing. the reason why they are so cheap is because they aren't true shaved door handles.
it looks like all they do is remove the handle they stick a plate to cover up the hole. and if you go through the trouble of taking off your doorhandles, why not just make it a completely touchless door pop? control the door opening with the alarm remote

How touch sensitive are they? What's to keep the doors from popping open from raindrops or bird****?
| Handsdown | 11-03-2005 02:40 AM |
they only arm when you unlock the car. you need remote entry.
pretty freaking stupid if you ask me.

This is pretty much the worst thing I've ever seen, goooosssshhhhh!
| brcewane | 11-03-2005 08:09 AM |
Yeah I wasn't real impressed when I saw them on overhauling.. if they would have molded them into the door so that they actually looked like shaved handles, they would be sweet.
But they looked like crap when the light hit them...

Coming from someone who used to have shaved door handles on his car; don't do this if you live anywhere where it snows, where your car sits outside or if it is a dailt driver.
| IamRascal | 11-03-2005 11:16 AM |
you also remove the ability to take your car to a track......
