i was wondering if anyone had ever put neon lights on under their car....what is every ones opinion on it? i was thinking about putting blue neons on my silver wrx...

Our opinion of that is that it is incredibly dumb. But who cares what we think... Do what you like. It's your car. As long as you don't mind getting laughed at or flamed, you shouldn't care what we think.

yeah... what he said. It's personal opinion, if you really want it, go for it... good percentage of us will probably flame, laugh at you, etc... but it's your car man, do what you want :)

i have neons in cabin, over the driver and passenger feet.
I used cold cathode tubes you can get from computer case mod websites. they are cheap and they work great. 12 volt of course.
I wouldn't put them on the exterior tho.

interior neon.. that hooks into ur bass.. beats with the music.. looks cool.. but only when ur parked and not driving haha..

I think a UV one in/under a hoodscoop would be fun. I wouldn't do it personally.

In my opinion the under car running neon's have been played out for years and are only popular with the teenagers and 2Ff2F crowd'z... I've seen cold cathode & neon's used in place of stock lighting for under the hood, in the trunk and interior. As long as it's clean and out of direct line of sight it can be nice because it's brighter than stock lighting... but when you're running along at 65 mph with pulsing purple, green, or other lights under your car, my $0.02 is .... it looks lame, no matter how "showcar" your car is .... if it's a show car then it should be parked behind a velvet rope, with mirrors all under and around it, accompanied by about a dozen trophies from previous shows. Not rolling down the highway, bass booming, lights flashing, looking like a lost UFO that needs directions.
That's just my opinion, it's your car mod till your heart's content.

First off underglow is not illegal in all 50 states. and i don't think its that bad. If you have a motor to back it up or just keepin it closer to a show car set up go for it. It's your car enjoy it

lol, i did that with my type R and S2000 b4, and I only use it on cayon road for easier chasing or i turn it on after i raced someone and win. I liked it ahah.., the point is that it needs to be installed well and ppl can't see it from the side...also u need to be careful if u are lowered...it breaks easily..

my uncle has a 37 ford with purple neons underneath, and it looks tight because well.....its an old ****ing car and it just looks pimp. heres a pic of how it looks.
