STi Recaro seats installed and they are sweet! the bolstering is much more agressive than the stock seats and much more supportive. The new seats really feel like they grab you in the shoulder area as well as the spot right under the arms. They are also very comfortable. Although they are lower than the stock seats, which isn't so bad, but I am going to custom make some 2 inch risers because i'm a shorter guy (5'8"). These seats would be perfect for a tall person. The blue matches the rear seats and the door inserts and the seatbacks fold forward via a switch on the seatbacks. The angle adjustment is a dial like mercedes cars used to be. Much more precise angles possible because your not limited to the clicks of the stock seat recliner mechanis. All in all the seats look like they belong in the car. Much more so than the stock seats. The stock seats were too pretty for the car. I think the STi is very raw and these seats compliment the car perfectly.

Im looking to replace the worn out stock seats in my 2000 RS (120,000 miles). Im looking for something light and supportive for as little money as possible. I would like to retain at least some comfort as well. I ran across a few on ebay and id like to know if they are even worth looking at. Anyone have any expereince with cheapo seats?

All I can say to that is you get what you pay for.
I have owned WAY too many seats in my lifetime, and anything I ever bought cheap felt cheap, uncomfortable, or fell apart on me.
spend the extra $$ if you love your car :) It is worth it.
If you cannot afford nice aftermarket seats, go to the private for sale adds and find a set of 2002-2003 Seats out of a WRX. Nice and comfy, and can be had for a couple hundred bucks!

Im leaning towards seat 2 due mostly to price. If it suck hardcore then Ill just keep them until I can afford something nicer. You've actually had cheapo seats fall apart on you? Sounds scary.

Im getting two sparco evos for my RS.
Silverscoob- You must be a small guy to fit in the pro 2000's huh? They fit me perfectly (5'6" 125 lbs), but the evos felt just slightly better. Nice!
Dan:)

My rear bumper is anything but small. I think there are different widths that you can get the seat in, but I'm not positive. I've got a 38 inch waist, I'm 5'8 and 225.

I am installing a pair of Bride Gias seats in my '02 sedan in the next couple of weeks. I am using Buddy Club rails, Sparco harnesses (Schroth Clubman are now imported by Sparco), and an NR-G Innovations harness bar. The bar and harnesses are already installed, I am waiting to have the right parts for an Aluminum subframe, rather than a steel one (most aftermarket is cheap mild steel, even Sparco). The seats are black, blue gradation cushions are being made (I love my girl!).
I realize this is nearly prostitution of labels, but I was more interested in a synergy of correct function than brand affiliation. The bar and harnesses are awesome. No-one has complained, for sure. The seats were in my Chrysler, and have proven tough and comfy. They still look fresh, so I am just gearing up with the installation hardware, then you get a bunch of NEW pics. I'll edit this when they are ready, and add the pics to this post.
