ive got the legacy gt in my 02. i really like it alot plus it looks sharp with my sti shifter trim. i got mine on the FS boards on here for 40 some dollars. previously i had the blue and silver momo raptor? and when i made the switch it definitely felt better to me.

The OEM leather knob on my WRX is one of the best ever.

Just get a bunch of different ones, that way you can change it up whenever you want. I have the stock knob, legacy GT knob, knuckleboy, and a momo knob all in my car, that way when I feel like using a different shift knob, I can just take one off and thread a new one on!

Less than $50?
Less than $50?
| G3Red04WRX | 12-16-2006 01:18 PM |
Agreed on the WC shift knobs. If your on a budget im sure he can work with you, but less than 50 is tough to do for a quality shift knob made specifically for the Subaru and with a boot lip.
Just whatever you do, please dont buy any no-name garbare off ebay to save money, you will kick yourself for it later, and then go spend another 50-100 bucks for a good shift knob. Youll thank me later for the advice now.

I got my Kartboy fomr someone here for $20. Local nasioc classifieds FTW.
The Kartboy is nice, it doesn't look big, and fits in your hand perfectly.

anyone know who makes the heaviest knob?
| keaniegenie | 12-16-2006 03:13 PM |
I don't know about heaviest, but I know the Prodrive ones are designed to be perfectly counter-balanced for our gearboxes.
To me, the perfect shift know has yet to be made. I like ball-style knobs, but I also like them Leather for looks and so they don't get too hot/cold.
A Prodrive perforated leather shift knob just like their aluminum ones would be perfect :)

I don't see the facination with metal shift knobs. They're scalding hot in summer, and freezing cold in the winter.
