Replace 06 STi wing with S204 wing

I'm sure some of you may have removed your STi wings. My question is how many holes does this leave? I already have a feeling I'm going to be filling holes, and I don't mean in a good way.

I'm not completely sure b/c i have a wrx, but i think someone once said 16 holes. I'd verify that though. Good luck.

not worth it just trade trunks with a wrx with no wing ( i think the s204 wing holes are unique to it not sure though)
| MartinD | 08-08-2006 12:36 AM |
1. Trade STi trunk for WRX trunk.
2. Buy s204 spoiler.
3. Take off WRX spoiler, 4 bolts.
4. Put s204 spoiler on in WRX place.

Mark sells a replica of the S203 wing... seen here... Ravspec S203 Replica Wing
Which is different than the S204 wing... seen here... S204 Wing
The S203 and S204 share the same, unique bolt pattern... It won't be able to bolt up to WRX holes... drop Mark a line and he may be able to help you out... ;)

i can't believe none of my fellow noobs have told member #17,312 to do a search!
man this place is going soft fast.
i agree w/ the trunk swap.
figure out if you want WRX trunk & wing (or that set of 4 holes for after market wing,
or the wingless trunk and no holes, and then check the many trunk swap threads.
especially in your reggional forum.
you might even be able to get a little $ along w/ a new trunk.
and swap the springs too, so you don't end up w/ a catapult!

Yes. This is a genuine S204 wing. It comes painted WRB. Not sure if its a take off or brand new. It was a bit pricey, but I've asked vendors on here if they can get the wing and they wanted twice as much as I paid.
So the S204 wing uses the same bolt pattern as the WRX wing?
Yes I did do a search. I couldn't find anything other than people asking where they can get an S204 wing or people going ga ga over a modded silver S204.

Good advice. I didn't even think about that.

no
is a completey unique bolt pattern to the s203/4's
best bet is to get a wingless wrx trunk and have it mounted on that

stock Sti wing has like.... 17 holes i think?
| STix66 | 08-09-2006 12:59 PM |
Thought about this myself.
The Stock STI Trunk has a bizillion holes.
Bottomline:
You need a different- non sti- unfooled around with - trunk .

yup, i have an sti and have taken the wing off and it does have 17 holes. i think only 12 bolts though oddly enough. i think the rest were clips and a hole for the brake light wiring. bad idea to take it off, i had that idea already and was disappionted when i took it off. i ended up trading trunks.

-1 for taking it off and trading trunks...now you have just another WRX...
I'm sorry but we will have to remove "sti" from your sig; you need to learn how to wear your badges of honor!!! :furious:

Um. I was planning on getting an STi badge if I did swap trunks. No S204 badge though. That seems ricey.

I'm not going to mention any names here but a well know vendor on this board quoted me $2000 for this wing.
RavSpec has a group buy on a S203 replica wing. I asked in the group buy about a S204 replica and they said they will be doing one. I'd check with them periodically.
I'm just impatient and want it to go on at the same time I get my wheels.

The well known vendor was trying to rip you off then. Renick has it for around $1100

That is who I placed my order through. Although I placed the order on the 7th and it has not shipped yet according to their website. I guess I'll call them tomorrow if they're open or on Monday.
