What a sweet ride bro...don't ruin it!

He said that the WRX wing is way nicer than the STI one, more if you wanna keep it stealth. If not, go with the rice look or get it beastly modded so the wing is acctualy something that you need to keep that beast on the track!

It's all personal preference. I think the car looks good either way. The only annoying part of having your STi wing will be everyone asking you "is that an sti" or "nice sti".

I'd have to agree. I've got one on my car but b/c of that wing, everyone just assumes that it's an STi despite the lack of STi badges and other exterior parts the STi has.

do whatever you want.. it's just a wing, there aren't really any big pros or cons, and you're probably not taking your wrx off any sweet jumps, so it's purely aesthetic

i had wingless now i have sti wing. Don't get it. its a hassle, it blocks the view, its hard to wash (water gets caught in it), cops follow it, it looks good, but its not that great.

stay with the wrx wing dude. my car came with an sti wing when i bought it and i just put a stock wing/trunk on like 2 months ago. The sti wing blocks the view in the rearview mirror and it is super anoying.

keep your eye out for something for sale. I got my carbon fiber set up for $500
I can swap back and forth when I want.

Wingless Carbon $200

Stock ... Came with car

STI Carbon wing with Carbon trunk. $500 total
I have three trunks I can swap when ever I want now.
Other notes... Driver height might be why some say it block rear view. My car does not like wingless. becomes tail happy, The STi carbon wing has alot of downforce. And is much stiffer then stock sti wing.
I can swap back and forth when I want.

Just watch the forums. People post this stuff up.
The carbon wingless trunk was posted for sale for over two months when I bought it.
I'm building my car up for half the cost, Just watching what comes up for sale.

Come on, let's get serious. The vertical view of the rear glass is approx 10 inches, and the wing portion is about 1.5 inches, so without doing a lot of measurements and calculations, and taking perspective into consideration, let's call it an inch, so a 10% to 15% reduction in the viewable area blocked your view? I must have better eyes then, cause it really isn't much of a problem for me. I'm sure if you drive with it for a while, you will learn to look through the remaining 85% to 90% of the rear glass.
My advise, forget the comments on appearance here. Unless you can poll everyone in your town, city, or state, then YOUR preference is all that matters. A few people here saying things like "wingles FTW", or "wrx wing >>>> sti wing" or "sti wing is da sexy" really doesn't help you at all.
With regard to actual pros and cons.
Pro for the STi wing, it does add downforce, which aids handling. Ignore any comments that come up about not functioning until the vehicle is over 100mph. Literature on aerodynamics will tell you different, as well as proven results of slower 1/4 mile times with the STi wing. So if a little improvement in handling is more important than a little loss in acceleration, then the STi wing is the way to go.
Con for the STi wing is actually same as above. STi wing is functional, so it will reduce your acceleration time. If you are interested in straight line speed and don't want to drop a few tenths in the 1/4, go wingless, or look for data on the WRX wing.
Con although not much of one. Slight reduction in viewable area out of the rear. This is a very minor con though. Any competent driver will get used to this in less than a few weeks and it will not be a problem.

In your case, IMO keep the WRX wing 'cause the car is well balanced.
