Anyone heard of this product before? http://www.tricoproducts.com/brochure.cfm?brochure=2838&location_id=65
This looks like those that are being used in Mercedes cars. I was wondering if anyone actually installed this product onto their Impreza WRX

I've wanted these for a while but I can't find a local supplier. Tire rack sells something similer (sp.) but I don't want to spend $80 on wiper blades that are crap. I would like to know if anyone has tried these as well.

I use the PIAA silicone blades on all my cars. They are great wiper blades. I will never buy another blade that is not made of silicone.

Bosch Micro Edge Excel work great for me, I don't see myself spending 80 bucks on wiper blades.

I would be interested in these as well as they look like they would cut down on the amount of wiper I see when looking out my window. Is there a site that sells them?

They look pretty cool. Would be interested in getting a pair (8600 miles and the stock blades already suck!), but not if they cost $80. Unless they're going to last me 200,000 miles.

The PIAA silicones are about $20 each at tire rack. They are teh koolio. I have had them on the WRX and the XT for over a year now, and they are still great. I will replace them late summer. (It hardly rains in Dallas in June/July/August).

What size are ours? I know we have a 22" on the driver's side and I think a 17" on the passenger.

They look like they wouldn't be able to handel a winter... Or am I just ignorant?
| Mulder | 04-03-2005 02:46 PM |
I've been using these for the past several months, through the winter here in the NE. I got them at Pep Boys when they had a rebate so the pair cost me $10, at that price it was worth a try.
Up until now I've used the Bosch Micro Edge but lately I found they weren't holding up that well and would begin to smear after a fairly short time. The Innovision blades have done well, they clear the window more effectively than the Bosch blades and their performance in winter was very good. They actually make decent winter blades since there are no pivot points or crevices for snow and ice to clog up.
They do chatter a bit occasionally, usually when there isn't that much water on the glass, but this doesn't affect the performance much. Also because they do maintain more consistent contact with the glass they tend to build up deposits at the end of their travel after extended use, so I find it necessary to clean the windshield and blades periodically (which is a good idea anyway).
My overall review of these is positive, and I would definitely recommend them. I'm considering getting a set of the Valeo blades which are what these are a copy of. The real thing should be even better than the imitation (better be for 4 times the price).

Thanks for the review, Mulder- crappy wiper blades are one of my biggest pet peeves, and the ones on my WRX have sucked since the day it came off the lot. I'll be looking for them... :)

these blades look very promising.

I found these at NAPA today. They are labeled a NAPA brand, but still says Innovision. I will let you guys know how they work in a couple of weeks.

Been using these blades for a few months as well and have been very happy with them. I'd recommend them.

I put these on Sat. and it has been raining on and off today. I must say these wipers are awesome! I have always put RainX on my windows, and it works wonders. The only problem is that with the stock wipers, there would still be streaks and spots left on the window because they did not make full contact with the windsheild. These Innovision wipers clear EVERYTHING off!

heh, double post... Two for Tuesday!!

I've been using the Bosch Micro Edges on my car but now that winter's done I may replace my current set with a pair of these...can't hurt to try.
I replace my blades every 6 months (April & October) and use Rain-X and never have streaking issues. Anytime I clean the windshield I clean the blades as well.

I'll second the Bosch wipers. Coupled with some Rain-X, they work superbly.
