what do I do with the SUBARU on the trunk lid?

I see a lot of people with shaved trunk lids and at first I was like ehh... I have a lot of Suby pride :disco: but lately I'm starting to think about shaving the ol trunk lid... Mainly because I polished my car over the weekend and it's so hard to clean around those letters. Should I go for it? Should I take the plunge? Should I take the gamble? What's it all about? Help me out here. :o

I can't vote guy sorry, but I will give you my opinion. I think it looks good on certain colors and depending on how you make your car look. Take a look at a few different cars with and without the badge and see what you think. For me right now I'm leaving mine on till I'm damn sure I know what I want. Hope my opinion helps.

well, someone just posted in the Red thread of the Gallery a WRX my color w/ a shaved trunk lid and that didn't really help my decision any. :p I like the way it looks.. but I also like it the way it is. The two things making me change my mind are 1) the impossibility to clean around the letters and 2) seeing the little SUBARU next to the keyhole. I just ordered one of those :cool:
Bargh.. what's a person to do? :confused:
I envy all the other NABISCO'ers who haven't had such a tuff time making a silly decision like this! :alien:

the cleaning of the letters is not too bad just get an old soft head toothbrush, I use one on all my letters, my door jams and all those hard to reach places ( no pun intended ). I like the way they both look so I think you should just go for what you like, even though public opinion is not so bad.

The sheer fun of having someone ask you what kind of car is that is teh most funnay. I have a few Prodrive decals on mine and get this all the time, "What is a Prodrive:confused:???

Shaving and debadging are two different things. Shaving the trunk means removing the key hole and smoothing out the trunk. Debadging is removing the badges from the trunk. I debadged the SUBARU on the trunk. Looks real clean.

Regarding Debadging: did you buy a car or a billboard? Why pay a company $20k+ to advertise their product for them?
I don't mind a little logo here or there.. I certainly wouldn't remove the prancing horse from a Ferrari.. but there's no way I'd drive around with it saying "[b]F E R R A R I[/b]" across the back end.

I can't commit to taking them off. Not so much for the issue when cleaning it, really doesn't take that much time, but cause I also have the S U B A R U pride.
