'06 and debadging = too plain.

I debaged my trunk, but I still have the '06 oval in the middle, which I want to keep, but my trunk looks too naked and it makes the oval look out of place. I don't really want to put the "subaru" or "wrx" back on. I've thought about stickers but thought it would be cheesy, turbo badges are out of the question.
If you have some clean pics of not totally debaged trunks I'd like to get some ideas.

Took the dealership badge off my Impreza left the others, was too afriad of the "naked look" to remove the Subaru/Impreza ones just yet.

haha, for a while i was thinking of debadging my 06 subaru and impreza badges and painting them black and then putting them back on for a stealthy look....i just wasn't sure of the positioning to let it look straight.

I have an 05 trunk on my 06 and didn't like it completely debadged. I ended up putting on the small subaru and impreza wrx emblem on the trunk. I like it much more now.

Totally debadged looks good if you lose the trunk lock too.
I had mine completely shaved when I went wingless, but it was too much. I added the Limited wing, and found that clean look that's so impressive.

how did you remove the rear oval badge?
I've kept trying and trying and trying, but that thing won't budge like a mofo. I've used a blow dryer, fishing line, but it seems like there's hardly any space to place your hand in that rear trunk due to the metal beams.
I don't want to remove it completely, but take it out, and re-paint it steel gray, matching my front emblem :P

The rear oval badge on the 06-07's is held on by bolts....anyone you see with a completely debadged trunk either has a pre 06 trunk, or got the holes filled in by a body shop.
Mine is debagded except for sti. I know you have a wrx but I'm just trying to give you ideas. I debadged the sti and then centered it with the keyhole, minus the "impreza" part. Here's a picture. Maybe you could do something like that with just "wrx" instead of the impreza part too.

My trunk lid is actually from my 04' STi (originally from an 04' WRX). Without that, I'd have to get the Subaru emblem holes filled.

You're correct except that there are no bolts holding the badge on. The holes in the trunk are for two little knobs on the back of the badge. They are just to place the badge properly, it's still held on by double sided tape.

My brother took off an '06 oval from my friends car which had to have the trunk resprayed due to vandelism. He said he just used a heat gun, and pushed the badge off by pressing on it from the inside.
It's dark out, now but I just put new wheels on, so i might go outside and snap off a pic of my badging.

I have been debating on debadging my Wagon. What I really want to do is take off the oval and the WRX and leave the Subaru badge. It really is too bad that they had to mount the badge with rivots on the 06+ models
