uhhh...subaru has had a sti type r and ra for a long time, just not for the new age wrx (they stopped the new age type r and are now bringing it back). they've been the base car subaru uses for the wrc car

clarification jeez!!!
When I posted the thread I was referring to a post before about whether or not the New Age Impreza would have a type R. No one was sure then that there would be one.....
But thanks for reminding me that there have been ones before, otherwise I would've spent all that money trying to block them out of past rally videos because "they aren't really there":)

I guess you wanna know too? :)
Well it's just that I'm having a heck of a time deciding on a wheel that's as light or lighter than stock in a 17 and that looks good. I'm into simple and clean myself. I like silver and was actually set on P7's until I found out how much they weigh

Um, the NBR is not a Type-R. The Type-R denoted a coupe. No more coupes = no more Type-Rs. The only thing special about the Type-R was that it was a coupe, otherwise, it was just like the other STi models.

It is a two piece wing. This has been discussed before in the rumors forum. It's a one piece riser under stock wing. The risers are connected across the decklid.
Zerosports sells two piece risers causing a similar look.

That isn't the "NEW" Type RA Spec C. It's the old 2000 model original Type RA.
The article calls it 2002 most likely because of the local Australian market (they just received it), not because Subaru releases it for 2002.

i wouldnt really agree with this. the major thing about the r and ra is that they were lightweight and more geared for racing. this came at the loss of many convenient features that are really only needed on a street car (i.e. air conditioning). iirc, they also have closer ratio trannys and the new one also gets a new turbo.

damnit wop, the car is not slow once i stop stalling it :D:D:D
