So, if the front lights are referred to as "bug-eye" would that make the taillights a "bug-a**"
| nexeradg | 03-28-2005 01:31 AM |
why is there such a lack of nice taillights out there? just pieces of junk euro lights and these ugly morrettes. the 04-05 model of these look a "little" better though, but not for that money.

The headlights are pretty cool....but the tails are fugly as hell
| odeezie | 03-28-2005 02:57 AM |
They're ugly by day...but I saw them at night once on the freeway...and they honestly weren't THAT bad...but i'd still rather have stockers :p
| ilivas | 03-28-2005 03:26 AM |
I prefer the 04-05 tail lights.

i don't think they would look too bad if they were actually painted to match...at night im sure the light pattern would look sweet.
| CalcVictim | 03-28-2005 09:31 AM |

Sorry about the bad pictures, here in Ohio it's always gray. I put the Morettes on my car and I think they look very good when painted to match. Really changes the look of the rear-end of the car. HOWEVER I don't think I would buy them again AND I can see why most people don't like them. They look like those robotic creatures out of the Matrix movies!

Ahh revenge of the spider-eye Morette taillighs. Many a child has been scared off by them.

Someone needs to make Angel eye headlights....
| Homerisking | 03-28-2005 01:48 PM |
Morette must think very high of their products to charge customers those ridiculous prices. I agree, it's ugly when not painted. I've seen another car around the web that was colormatched--didn't look to bad.

well they at least need to make some decently priced covered projectors... $600+ to import RHD STi Projectors + needing to modify them to LHD or the $900 for LHD Projectors is ridiculous Thats if you can even find someone with them in stock.
I just installed a set of projectors on my girlfriend's Focus... black housing completely enclosed, REAL projectors on the low beam with a nice sharp pattern, great figment and no leaks (read no condensation) and they were only $250... I was like "why the hell don't they make a set of these for the bug eye!"

color matched on WRB look awesome, imo. I haven't seen them matched on any other colors...so I wouldn't know. flat black though = bleh

They dont look bad painted to match from behind...but from the side they look like crap. Maybe they would look ok if you took the time to mold it in....so it all looks flush.
| samwY | 03-28-2005 11:06 PM |
$600 + shipping?
I wouldn't put it on my car if someone paid me $600.
