Looks great!!

I'm looking for a local bodyshop which does immaculate work, can you recommend yours?

Thanks,

Greg

Looks great. I've been set on getting a black WRX, but seeing your car makes me question that.
tfeng 05-12-2002 03:57 AM

question!!!

Dude i love that kit...although the price is a lil high i was seriously considering gettin it. however they said its a fiberglass kit and not urethane. you guys think this is worth 1500~ for a fiberglass kit. i maybe newbie but i heard that **** cracks on contact. penny for your thoughts!!!!
G-force 05-12-2002 05:31 AM

Not fiberglass - who told you that?

I personally installed this kit for another member, it's 100% poly.
supermarkus 05-12-2002 05:43 AM

"I heard this... I heard that..."

I know this, any well built fiberglass bodykit will not "crack on contact" I watched iv30 scrape the hell out of his "spare" Primitive replica C-west kit in my driveway and it didn't even come close to breaking. His original C-West lip however, did not hold up nearly as well. Good thing he has extra lips for show.
A well built fiberglass kit will be thick enough to resist cracking. I can vouch for Primitive replica stuff as far as the quality of the material.

That said, the kit that Gary sells is polyurethane like the OEM kits available here through Subaru.

That is awesome

Is there any way to get that kit in the WRB without having to have it painted somewhere else? I'd hate to have somewhere paint it and it not exactly match the color of the car :(

Looks awesome.

The color was sent in error via Subaru of Australia.

WRB color code 02C is available from the manufacturer.

Delivery time is approx 2 weeks.

Would it be possible to JUST order the front lip in WRB??
I'm happy with the sides and rear. I think that those lil' flares at the ends of the US/UK front lip doesn't match well with the sideskirts..
WRXMotorWorks 05-13-2002 09:58 AM

The Australian OEM kit is not available in pieces.

It is only sold as a full kit i.e. Front Underspoiler, Side Skirts and Rear Underspoiler.

Comes pre-painted from manufacturer.

Orders are accepted online at http://www.wrxmotorworks.com and are shipped direct from Subaru Australia to your door.

that sucks, big time..
WRXMotorWorks 05-13-2002 11:17 AM

At some point Subaru Australia will sell unpainted parts, but since the demand is high and the kit is new on the market, they will not do it.

I recommend finding someone local who might be interested in the other pieces.

the only problem is: how would I do about dividing up the prices??
Kostamojen 05-14-2002 02:57 AM

Cool, people with BRP 02 RS's can get a pre-painted bodykit for their car! :D

You can split up the pricing anyway you like.

I would do $450 for the front, $600 for the sides and $500 for the rear underspoiler.

um... am I just blind? The Aussie OEM looks identical to the US OEM except it has different side skirts... why the heck would you all be wanting to just buy the front when it's identical and way more expensive than the US one? I do like the Aussie skirts better, but not for that price.
timjgx 05-15-2002 01:03 PM

I guess you are blind

Actually, the front, rear, and sides are all different. I don't have any pics of the US OEM kit for a comparison but there's some on www.vividracing.com you could check out.
ChuckCheeze 05-15-2002 01:08 PM

i took new front and rear shots

i think these will show the diff btwn US OEM and Aussie OEM, but i am unsure how the US OEM looks
G-force 05-15-2002 08:49 PM

Check your vision.

The main difference other than styling is that the Aussie kit's front and rear pieces are constructed of one piece vs. 3 seperate pieces for the SOA's kit.
