Fully Vented Hood for WRX

After 2 years and 55,000 miles, with lots of time in the shop installing performance goodies and tuning, I need to do some painting. Rather than paint my stock hood, I'd like to find a high quality fully vented hood to purchase. I'm running an APS FMIC, so I installed the Aqua vent a long time ago (kind of like a reverse hood scoop) in the interests of extracting heat from under the hood. But what I'd like is a fully vented hood that has the big U shaped venting in the front part of the hood, along with the venting in the area where the scoop normally sits. I'm pretty open to the material (it does not have to be carbon fiber, by any means, although if it is then I'd probably want to either paint it or at least put some color to it). So far in my searching I haven't seen anything that fits this criteria exactly. Anybody here have any suggestions on what I should check out?

cusco hood has big vent on each side

Something like this? I've made cutouts in my hood for the front and two rear vents. You can really feel the heat coming out the rear scoop vents when it sitting after a good boot on a warm day. From Primitive Racing. Just a different take on the Scooby scoop.

I've seen many a pic of rally cars running around with this. it makes sense when you look at if from a functional point of view. hot air goes out the back, unheated air enters the intercooler from the front.

Steve,
You might want to look at the Gimme Gears Prova replica that Eric (WRX Ver 7) is running - it looks good for FMIC ;)
Cheers

Oh my dear god!! That may possibly be THE ugliest scoop I've ever seen on any car... functional or not, that's an eyesore.
No offense though, to each his own.

WELLLLLL, given the arguement of the functionality of the hood scoop, then one would HAVE to assume that the roof scoop on this car is functional as well.
If not, then TAKE IT OFF That is one ugggllllyyyy scoop.

I do not know of the functionality of it on his car,But on my car I no longer had to use my I/C spray. The local's Nicknamed my car bullwinkle due to the scoop's errrrrr looks. It is no longer used on the street, instead it is saved for track days and auto-x.

I was in the same situation as you. There is the GG prova replica which looks great but it is made for a TMIC, although it does have side vents so it will be somewhat helpful.
There is the Seibon type CW hood(Carbon) which has a reverse scoop and side vents...very functional but a little to crazy for me. Seems like this one would fit your criteria. Check it out www.seibon.com STR8OUT has this hood so you can search for pics of it installed.
And the one I chose the Kaminari reverse scoop. It's nice a simple with the reverse scoop and a great fit.

As noted, yes, the roof scoop is functional (rally vent supplied by Primitive Racing).
As far as aestheticly trying to please everyone, I shan't lose a moments sleep as to the reactions and indeed no offence shall be taken or given in return. The overall package has proven itself to work; you noticed it as something apart from the norm and took the time to make mention of it to me. For that I can do not but thank you for the time and hope that all of you can have the like satisfaction as I to sleep restfully knowing that you enjoy your own cars in your own configurations, irregardless of divergent opinion.:)

From dictionary.com
irregardless
adv. Nonstandard
Regardless.
____________________
[Probably blend of irrespective, and regardless.]
Usage Note: Irregardless is a word that many mistakenly believe to be correct usage in formal style, when in fact it is used chiefly in nonstandard speech or casual writing. Coined in the United States in the early 20th century, it has met with a blizzard of condemnation for being an improper yoking of irrespective and regardless and for the logical absurdity of combining the negative ir- prefix and -less suffix in a single term. Although one might reasonably argue that it is no different from words with redundant affixes like debone and unravel, it has been considered a blunder for decades and will probably continue to be so.
I was bored:cool: Other than that you have a very cultured manner of speech and thought
