I got theres for free. Just asked them to email me some stickers and they sent me like 10 and the tie down for free. Yes I know they are banned on here. But Ive never had a problem with them. That second one from autospeed is the one that I have. Mastro subaru has them for $30 :D

thanks for the list, i need to pick one up as my stocker is pretty grungy.
what do you all do to keep the tie-down bolts in place? the J part of the hook/bolt keeps wanting to slip out from under the tray where it grabs on...

You can find some better pics of that one on eBay. It sounds as if the Tyrant is a knockoff of a JDM tie down, as there is an auction for WRX and STi ones that claim as much.

Whats the lettering like on the tyrant one? If its more than just stickers that will fall off after six months it would be nice.

Revival of an old thread that most probably don't care about. But it looks like kartboy may have a battery tiedown available now. I don't see it listed anywhere on their website but RallySport seems to have them available. Looks like I may buy a tie down after all as I am always happy to sport anything made by kartboy.

i wanna see more peeps with battery tie downs.. especially the prodrives :)

I asked them for stickers and just got stickers. They gave me a crappy sponsorship for 10% off products and I still have to pay for shipping. I have had their logo on my car about 2 years now and don't get crap. I am about to be in a mag and left them out as my sponsor. I love my K&N, Eagle One and Valvoline sponsorships :D

Dibble JR has the kartboy if I recall correctly.
Hank3...not sure if you're still here, but doesn't look like your catch can is doing much. Both of the lines are yellowed from oil residue (unless you got yellow tubes, but I didn't think that reinforced tubes came in colors other than clear).

I would think one should be oily but not both.

^^ exactly, both of his look oily, meaning he probably didn't put any sort of filter medium inside his CC. ooops.

Thanks Guys
i actually make all the tie downs in house.
heres another shot of the tie down without the logos installed.

they are hard anodized aluminum with custom made silicone inserts.
Heres a shot of the fixture to do the droplinks :)

this question is for Mechie3: How much filter medium should you put in the CC
That's a better question for dibblejr. I don't have on yet myself, but Jay-R taught me about them (in person) so I know what they should look like. If I were to do one today, I would probably fill it half full to 3/4 full (height wise) unpacked. You simply want something to allow the oil to coalesce upon. Too much and you reduce your oil holding capacity, too little and the oil will soon cover it and be ineeffective.
That kartboy tie down is pretty nice in person. I like the logo myself.

Like maybe the front license plate blank for GC/GM/GFs I bugged you about, a couple of years ago? That no other vendor seems to care to be interested in?
[nudge, poke, wink]
:D
The Subaru/SPT ones are very nice.

I have the anthracite Prodrive one, just because I got a nice deal on a used pair (tiedown/oil cap). But Kartboy stuff always rocks. :)
