Blinging Engines? Engine Dressup?

I remember seeing some pics here a long long time ago with some really crazy nice looking WRX engines. A lot of the parts were chromed out. This might have been so long ago that it was when i-club and nasioc were one website. I'm working on dressing up my engine and I'd just like to see what everyone has done to theirs. I'm planning on going all out, so if you have a crazy looking engine, post pics! Also, if anyone has those chromed out engine pics I'd like to take another look at those too. Thanks!

yeah, the intercooler piping is getting a chrome finish. I don't really know what else I could do in chrome anyways, heh heh.

I have engine bay envy...
Some of the pics from those other threads were just plain sick.
Makes me want to go outside and rip off my intake manifold and turn it around. Save about 18" of piping...
Also, what are the specifics on relocation/angling of the turbo to get the inlet piping out from under the manifold?

pricing will depend on what you are after...
but they will sorta look like this:
rad shroud - anondized - $55 - ssteel - $75
solenoid cover - anondized $25 - ssteel $35
fuse box cover - anondized $25 - ssteel $35
etc... there's also going to be pricing for the full kits....
pm me for more information if interested...

Just some paint.
Basshead gives us something to strive for:banana: I like the battery and the the tops to everything. Are the tops (oil, washer fluid...) just painted?
If so, what paint?

I might be alone in this criticism, but I'd prefer not to have some vendor's logo etched into every bit of metal on my car. The parts look much cleaner without, and the logos are usually nothing to write home about anyway. If the parts are nice, the vendor will get plenty word-of-mouth endorsments. Just my opinion...

moogoob....
ya it's just lots of layers of paint, sanding and and clear coat....you can go to sherwin williams and get any color paint you want put into spray cans...think is was like 11.50 a can or something...only needed one...;)
sdwrx
you're not alone...i would pay $10 more if they didn't stamp the logo on those...personally, i have kept far from dress-up pieces and done everything myself specifically to avoid that "advertised" look that everyone seems to have...

i'll bring it up to the manufacturer (no logo stamp)
thank you for your input! and feedback!

Basshead: Another question about the caps, the washer fluid cap seems kinda flimsy and bends a bit. Have you noticed any chips or cracking in it? Thats the one main fear I have is painting it to look nice, then it cracks and cips off.
I'd also like to use the same paint i used on the other parts. Duplicolor metalcast.
