you need mounting hardware...I think it should have been included. sorry to go a little off track here, but is the lip made completely out of carbon fiber or is it just a single layer on top of fiberglass? reason I ask is I had an S203 replica that was fiberglass with a thin layer of carbon fiber and it broke right in half the other day.

Boost junkie,
It dosn't come with any mounting hardware....I think I got to go ask the shop on Monday. It should be made out of carbon fiber, once I had my DC back I'll post some pic of it. Thanks ....
BTW Where can I buy the prodrive boost control solenoid ??? Do u have any sound clip of your header ???

There is also a rubber skirt that goes on the bottom of the lip. That and it may have been further refined from the original design.

Hmm maybe i just never took a look at the authentic s203 lip, i have the replica, and it def doesnt stick out as much as the v limited and isnt as thick, the authentic also have the rubber strip on the bottom, as well as thev limited, as long as you want to buy it....
The replica is thinner, here is mine..

IMO, the hardware my spec C came with were perfect.....
if you're familiar with the 'windscreen' nuts-n-bolts on a modern (late model) sportbike, then you've got it...
a trip to your local m/c dealer to get a whol e package could do it nicely...
they are the threaded & rubberized squeeze type female sides that expand when tightened...
boy, i tried, and it still sounds explicit.....

Called nylock (sp?) nuts if I'm not mistaken. Great to use. But if use you tighten/loosen them very often they lose their advantage.

No not nylocks. They are used a lot on fiberglass based track bike seats. They sell them at the hardware store I work at, I'll go scour google and try to find a picture...
EDIT: Here you go (if it works) they are called well-nuts:

thas it!!
my spec c (06) lip has 16 of them holding it down....lol
i dont think they'l wear out; just make sure to drill a hole just large enough to barely fit them in.... this way you dont have to torque them alot....

They work really well (no pun intended) and are pretty easy to use. Slightly expencive, may cost you 20-30 bux to put on a front lip this way but worth it if they match up to the application.

BTW The Home Depot has the rubber inserts you guys are talking about....put with some SS bolts with heads of your choice and the lip will stay on....unless you smash into a curb.
