Debadging... what to get rid of?

I've seen it three different ways:
1) Only "S U B A R U" on the rear (what I'm leaning towards)
2) Only "WRX" on the rear (most common)
3) Total slicked off
I looked through the "pictures of your rears" thread, but I still can't make up my mind for my '04 Java WRX.
Anyone got any really clean pics of their rear or suggestions to help me out? Thanks!

go with your first choice

I went with choice (1)

Otherwise, choice (3).

I say either 2 or 3. The last option is fun when people who are not familiar Subarus comes up and asks you what kind of car you have
I currently have only Prodrive decals on my car and people often ask, "What is a Prodrive?"

option #3 :)

I have the option #2
it's pretty easy to remove the letter actually,
just use the hairdryer to heat it up, and pull it out...
now you need to deal with the soft sticky foam, go get a grease, gum, sticker remover called "Goo Gone", it's made by natural orange material, so it won't damage your paint..once you removed all the sticky foam, give it a wash with soap and water, then apply some wax..then you are done!

i say totally debadge you get some funny stories, i was at the market and this woman was eyeing my car looking for badges took her a few minutes of scrutinizing before she finally took off not knowing what kind of car it was :D , another time a station security guard was writing me a parking ticket, asked me what kind of car i had so he could note it, after going all around looking for badging, said "Is this a Scion?"

I got a parking warning by my apartment complex. I was completely debadged at the time. The lady wrote "2.5 RS Impreza" on the ticket. I was like  how the **** did she know? She was either a subaru fan or had to ask someone.
| Kager | 06-12-2004 10:30 AM |
ya..she even knew the model eh? 2.5 RS? hahah~
she's good!! coz most of ppl can't really tell the difference between WRX and 2.5 RS..:)

Everybody at my school keeps asking me if my brother has a WRX( I don't have my liscense yet so he drives the RS). Some people are just ignorant. I'd say take of "SUBARU", and maybe the impreza part too. Just leave WRX on. I saw one pic of somebody's interior, and they put the impreza badge on the plastic part next to the pop out cup holder, and it looked pretty good.

im option 2 now - nice and clean, b/c when i wash, there always seems to be water trapped in the subaru "u" - and easier to wax now too without that in the way
| Kager | 06-14-2004 03:41 AM |
lol
I agree with you NPC, easier to clean the trunk..hhaha~

#2, just leave WRX on there

#2 i'd rather have it at least say WRX than it just say Subaru.. the Subaru allows a blind person to read it.. it looks more upscale w/o the subaru written on the back..
my.45 cents

I debadged tonight... left only the "WRX Impreza"
Did it in low light this evening. Have a sneaking suspicion I put scrape marks on my trunk :(
