I know we don't like Altezza taillights here, but these looked different. What do you guys think?

Looks like stop lights, just need to replace one with green :) and put a yellow bulb in the other. F&TF baby!! Anything that has the F&TF label on it is top quality, nothing even comes close, just look at the price 169.00 that means they are awesome. oh wait no one is bidding on them... The jaguar ones look a bit like the 04 lights, which I like, they are not true altezza's because its not all chromed out with red rice circles.

Personally, altezza's are not my taste... but its your freakin' car. Do whatever you feel looks great to you, and maybe your immediate friends/family... not mass opinion on a biased forum.

Ok, we've lost the point here. The "Jaguar" style lights DO NOT even look like altezzas. They are merely red on the top, and white on the bottom. Anybody with any relevant information that knows where I can find these, please help. All others, don't bother saying anything. I already know how you feel about "Altezzas".

Those are JDM tail lights, just as they appeare on Impreza's in Japan. You can get them just about anywhere, I believe there are two threads in the [URL=http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=23]Vendor's Forum[/URL] who are selling them for about $200 or so. Or you can get them from [URL=http://www.subaruwrxparts.com]Subaru WRX parts[/URL] for about the same price.

If by "In crowd" then you mean the majority opinion of this website, then yes you would be right. But the "in crowd" is the crowd that accepts this crap as "cool". Note all the middle aged men driving around in trucks with altezas, or the thousands and thousands of 15 year old honda owners with altezas, or even the chicks who think that this stuff is "cool"...

those ones on ebay are terrible. I would just splurge and get the STi tails. They are OEM, so you don't have to worry about draining your spare wheel well from leaking, and you don't have to worry about condensation on the inside of the light.

I agree :rolleyes: but if you just want SOME clear on your tails- go with the JDM ones. They look real nice compared to stock yellow turns but maintain conservative look so people won't call you a "ricer". Personally I'd go with whatever style you like the most. If anything DO NOT let other peoples opinions influence you negatively. If you like it, get it. The JDMs are a manufacturer part so they will also be able to drain moisture and guarantee an easy fit and install....just my .02

Let me know if you find a good deal on them anywhere (under $200) I can't see a scooby with those weird ass "stop light" looking ones. I just dont think it would look right- in fact it would probably look like a honda from behind until you got close enough. These :rolleyes: are the only replacements I would ever consider personally putting in.

the only way i'd like those on my car is if i got the chromed ones and did a "JDM EVO" sorta deal. pull the lense, tint the whole inside of the lense a translucent red, and then reassemble. then i'd consider it, especially on my sedona scoob. :)
