FOG, Fog, fog

We all know how crappy our 02 air-conditioning units are :o
and I'm really hating the fogging on the windshield and windows more so when it's raining since I can't clear anything :furious:
I've tried anti-fog stuff from Rain-X to no avail :disco:
How do you guys and gals cope with this isht?

It's been raining here in CT for almost a week straight, and I haven't had problems with keeping my windows from fogging up??
I think you're breathing to much

u know a nice thing i noticed about the 05 auto climate system? well on the 03 if i turned on the defrogger for the front (if its cold outside then u need to blow cold air so the fog goes away) the vent would blow lil bit of cold air and the inside would get cold also....but on the 05 according to the temp outside it can blow cold air to the windows but yet blow warm air to the vents!

Maybe I'm just missing the sarcasm, but don't you guys mean the anti-recirculate mode? That is, bring fresh air in from the outside? Recirculating the moist air you're breathing in the cabin will only fog up the windows more...

If it is 90+% humidity outside, recirc with the ac on will dry the air inside reducing the moisture.

sounds dumb.. but a really clean windshield will fog a lot less than a "dirty" one...
I would try cleaning your windows really well first.. then see what happens.

I think that is the problem my friend. Read your manual. It says in there that you can't use recirc all the time. If you do, your windshield will fog up. That's the cause of all of your problems.

If you have alot of moisture in there, do this...
1. Get a gym sock, fill it with clumping kitty litter, but it must have "crystals" in it. The crystals are what is important, it's actually Silica, which naturally absorbs moisture.
Fill the sock about half full, tie it off and put it directly under your seat where the floor vent is. Make sure the you are pulling outside air in to equalize moisture between inside and out. Put the HVAC dial to the foot setting and let it run.
The kitty litter will absorb most of the moisture. You can leave it in there year round and it'll keep working.
