GC8 hood options?

ok i have a CF hood, but now they are coming down in price and more and more people are getting them. I think its time for a new style off hood. Only things i can find are the

Zero Sports hood and only place i could source it was vivid for 900$

i've been lookin for a CF hood for a while too.. yea, i could go for a vented kinda EVO-ish CF hood. and if pkzero ever adapted that prova hood for a gc8...mmmmm...id be all over it

I'd like to get my hands on a cheap light weight FG hood (painted of course, probably and s-glass or fg/kevlar mix) and trunk lid. Aluminum is my next choice, CF is too pricey retail... and the ones that most of us can afford are mostly cosmetic. That or I'm waiting for a decent vendor to step up with a hood mold and offer different materials choices based on use. If someone wants a nice clearcoat finished "show" hood then price it $x, if someone (like myself) wanted a rough lightweight hood-pinned and painted hood it would be price $y. Offer various layups of fiberglass, carbon, and kevlar based on need. This could all be done very inexpensively compared to today's retail CF hood prices.

my CF hood is VERY lights. and it didnt cost me alot(less then an aluminum hood shiped :D ) i wanted something not of OEM style

dam reading all this makes me pissed actually. the wrx is out for just over a year and it has everything for it. including the hood we all want. (like the trial hood) even aqua made the reverse hood scoop for the wrx which keep in mind you have to get a front mount for that to make sence. but for the gc8s that are non turbo, or the ones with front mounts hehehe! theres nothing. on top of it all we have many vendors that dont sell gc8 (or stock it) anymore.

I hate it ha! seriosly though i do.
ive search reverse hood scoops came up with just the stock one reversed(had to sell my kidney to get it) looks just ok. found that aqua MADE one in the past for our cars. but no more. trial hood $1000 for christ sake. dam man i need to get a honda or something. but not a neon/eco ..opps sorry wrx... hehehehe just messing guys.

Ill agree with that! The only place to find anything about non-wrx stuff is in the N/A forum (duh). I want that trial hood becuase im totally n/a and I think it would be a nice cosmetic touch so i dont get the "what are the hood scoops for if its not a wrx???". Oh well, glad to see there are some GC8s left here!

I bought the whole kit including the hood for 1,800 plus $400 shipping..The kit is made by EXT Force.. All of the parts are made from reinforced fiberglass FRP...Here is the pic of the whole kit..Minus that funky wing..It's too big for me and I didn't thing it would look nice on my carbon trunk..Gerry

Kasio..I had to buy the hood scoop seperate from the bodykit..The vented fenders come with the whole kit.Also the wing isn't chopped..I'm trying to find a diferent pic..It's just too big and wide...Gerry

Harley Products makes this one, they sold it on E-bay for a while, but I haven't seen it in a little while. Try a google search maybe?

I got a Silver RS and think it would look pretty tight with a CF hood!! I love the hood now because its the Subaru signiture....but how much do the CF hoods weigh n e one know?
