Got My WRC Wing....Whoo Hoooo

Well I finally got my WRC wing. :banana:
Remember MR. STi's authentic Prodrive wing, well it is mine. :lol: Thanks man, it all worked out.
I am living in England but my car is in Canada. I will be back in Canada for two weeks later this summer to put this wing on and drive the crap out of the Sti...no kidding. I also got vanity plates. And then I won't see this car for another year.... :(
But it is all good. Hopefully by next year I will have enough dough to get the rest of the WRC parts. This is only the beginning. My bro took these pics with his camera. I will take better ones later this summer when it is on the car.

It is the real deal. It was bought from Prodrive by a forum member(MR. STi) who owned it for three months. He posted pics of this wing on his car not too long ago...you can still find it with the search.
I want to go all the way though. Wide fenders....Gps box....carbon fiber mirrors..the whole bit. Something like $8-9K in parts. And then mod the engine later.

You sound pretty ignorant but it is ok here on a forum. I like the power and speed as it is. I am not on the streets to street race around the blocks against kids to prove some sort of point. Maybe in the future I might bump the engine up a bit.
I just like the way the WRC car looks. very agressive. The stock sti is nice but I am not completely satisfied with its looks...but I like the wide fenders...wing...etc on the rally vehicle. I fell in love with the WRC car first a few years ago and then had to settle for the stock looking Sti when it finally came out.

ivebeen trying to get the whole carbon fiber widebody.... more like 12K for everything.... fiberglass replicas are like 7K

300hp is so damn slow that he must upgrade the engine first, right? :rolleyes: I personally see no problem with doing WRC body work. It looks good and it will still be a fast car. It is an STi, afterall.

Tell me about it. I know exactly what you mean! The WRC car looks menacing, especially in tarmac trim.
I'm doing something similar as you (building a WRC inspired '02 Bugeye), although I'm trying to do it without the WRC livery (i.e, no vinyl) - like a privateer entry. If you look past the graphics, it's difficult to pull off properly. There are some details that lend credibility to the WRC look, and I'm working hard to see them through.
I wish you good luck on your project, and can't wait to see it finished...

My front bumper has gotten pretty beaten up here in Texas. After mulling over several options in my head how to get everything back up to snuff after I leave here in a few months, I decided to just drop the dough and spend a ton of cause on the Burn-up bumper. Yeah, its gonna cost me an arm, a leg, and a kidney, but it'll be so worth it. :)
