Has anyone swapped out their 04 WRX carpet with a STi carpet

I'm wondering if there is any difference in the cut of the carpets and fittement (sp).

Why wouldnt it fit...the cars share the same shell, with different drivetrain, suspension, brakes, etc..

The dealer wasn't sure if the oil pan (or something to that effect) was different and therefore adjustments in the fabric.

The oil pan that is the weirdest thing I have ever heard for a reason carpet wouldnt fit. I 99% sure that the interior is the carpet is the same cut and fit +or- the shifter location in the sedan.

I thought so too. I could be wrong about what he said may affect the carpet but he mentioned something about some possible bulges that are on the STi but not the WRX.

I don't know why you would want the STi carpet, I hate mine, it's hard to clean and its cheap, very thin. Just my opinion though.

I want it because I feel the ALL black interior is bland IMO.

How much does the carpet cost form the dealer? Anyone ever ask.
And FWIW its just as thin and cheap as the WRX carpet, only diff. is being blue :)

I can tell you for a fact that rhd and lhd are not interchangable.
They are close. The rear seat matches fine, but not the front.I have some spec-c rhd carpet sitting in my garage that was the test subject.

Did you also do your door panels or plan on it?
P.S. Your pm box is full.

Anybody who's done it ... wanna post how long it took to do the swap? I've been itching to get rid of the blue carpet but figured it would take many hours ... time I'd rather spend driving!

What do you plan on replacing it with.
As far as wear goes, isn't that what floor mats are for?

Any pics of the STI carpet? I can't even picture what it looks like right now.
