check this thread:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=394793&highlight=headliner+dye
it does not look promising, but that was water based dye.
i thought there was another, but the search function has slowed to a crawl.
or maybe it's my internet connection.
here we go:

but this is a replacement, not a dye job.
sorry, that's the best i can do.

i had mine reupholstered i think thats your best bet, dying doesnt sound like it would look good
| SinisterSkube | 11-17-2005 05:26 PM |
i was told that it cant be reupholstered..... because the hard backing
| ekw | 11-18-2005 08:07 AM |
not sure why it couldn't. did a reupholstery SHOP tell you that?
i ask because i had my package tray reupholstered and i'd say the backing on that is pretty hard.

how very professional of them.
sounds like they don't need the $$.
nor do they deserve it.
check for other places, if you are around Indy, there ought to be more than one.
did you want pics of my package tray or Stealth's headliner?
(sorry, i'm dense)

Deadpool on ClubWRX somehow changed his whole interior black. A pillars/b pillars, headliner etc so its definitely possible.
| SinisterSkube | 11-19-2005 07:26 PM |
thats what i want all black....... ekw, i wanted pics of the headliner but what is your package tray?
| WRXRgr | 11-19-2005 11:29 PM |
I'd guess black leather dye would do it...you could pull the light fixture, etc and try it on a hidden spot first.

SinisterSkube,
package tray is the thing between the back seat & the rear window.
on my STi, i took out the 3 child seat anchors & the center shoulder harness.
then i filled the holes on the package tray w/ sheet styrene (from hobby shop,
i am a plastic model geek too) and had the tray recovered in a light grey that is more
in line w/ my stock headliner and C pillar trim.
i did not mean to hijack on your headliner thread, i brought it up because the package tray is some kind of stiff (but somewhat flexible) molded/pressed fiber crap. so i figured if i could get THAT re-covered why not a headliner.

| SinisterSkube | 11-20-2005 07:46 PM |
see i was wanting to do it in microsuede..... mmmmm full black. as far as the pillars go, i was wandering if i should suede them or paint.....hmmm
| StealthWRX | 11-20-2005 11:06 PM |

| SinisterSkube | 11-21-2005 03:21 PM |
