Contemplating Getting The Orciari Body Kit....

1 Attachment(s)
Hello!

I was looking to change the exterior of my car and thought a body kit would be the best option for this.

I know there are many out there but I actually really liked the Orciari Body Kit. It's inexpensive and it also doesn't really lower the body that much. One of my biggest fears is spending a lot of money on like the Jun front lip and having it shatter on me.

I think this kit makes a subtle change to our car.

But naturally I have some concerns and was hoping people with this kit or any info could let me know what you think about:

1. Quality
2. Ease To Install
3. Your thoughts on how it looks
4. Pro's or Con's?

I am just looking to get informed about this product prior to purchasing it. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Anyone else have this or have any info?

Thanks!

Free Month old bump since I am contemplating this now too....:p

Cheap priced.. because it's ugly..
Marcin 10-03-2002 09:29 PM

The picture above is the uglyest picture of the kit I ever saw. It actually seems to defeat it's purpose.

Anyway, pictures dont do the kit justice. I was looking around for some pics for you to show. I personaly like the look of the kit.

All this car needs is some better rims to finish the look. Black Morettes or UK300s work really well.
Hope it helps make up your mind. :)

This car belongs to a CC-B who is a distributor of the kit.

No, fairly priced because we don't jack up the price exhuberantly and we put special effort in keeping shipping costs from Italy to the US as low as possible.

If looks would determine price then some stuff on the market would have to sell for a buck-and-a-half. Opinions on how something looks is very personal. I believe you have conveyed your opinion twice now. Thank you.

For those that are a little less shortsighted: These kits are made from ABS, so no cracking or splitting like fiberglass kits. The fit and finish of these kits is great and they are TUV homologated.

They are in stock and on special untill the end of this week.

Thanks for posting the pictures, Marcin. I appreciate it.

I bought the kit in the beginning of the summer. Its not to crazy looking like other kits out there. The quality of the kit and fitment is a o.k. The shop that painted mine and installed it gave me such a good deal because the quality was so good! Here is a link of the kit on my car ----> Click herE

I got it from CC-B. Great vendor also:) Check out my pics.

I don't mind this kit at all. I fact I really want to get the side vents for my car.
MAD REX 10-05-2002 11:40 AM

I also bought the kit because of the great price!

It was either this kit or no kit.

I get a lot of compliments on it as well and the fit was good.
C-EZ 10-05-2002 01:50 PM

I just bought some engine mods...

So unfortunately the body is going to have to wait. Not to mention that I think if you are going to have a bad ass looking car you should be able to back it up on the line....

Hehehe!!

Hey Eddy, I would be happy to use you a sponsor and anvertise your company on my car in exchange for a free kit!!!!!

.....Worth a shot!!

Have a great weekend!!

Eddy,

I understand what you mean by having the kit available at the lowest prices possible, something that doesn't go on in these forums often, and i apreciate that.

I posted twice, because i forgot i posted the 1st time. This thread is over a month old. I would never be a jackass and state a negative opinion twice.. and you're right, it IS my opinion, and obviously you all know what it is.

I'll go into my opinion in detail for you. I personally think this kit is very underdeveloped. It has no personality, and doesn't promote the WRX's lines. It's great that it's well priced, but if this thing looked good the prices wouldn't be so low. Simple Economics, High Quanitity, small demand... prices drop.. So you're telling me that you or everyother company that sells this kit for that amount got the same deal you got? Also, why do i not see any other kits being sold at this great price, I.E. Griffin etc.

Food for though.

CC-B, it's not like Sauceboy01 personally attacked you, he just said he doesn't like the kit. I don't either. Some people do. We're not one of them. ok? ok.
128d 10-05-2002 05:56 PM

Does anyone have a picture of it showing its rear underspoiler or does it not have a piece for that?
DoctorNick 10-05-2002 09:42 PM

I just wanted to tell you, the kit is durable. I have kicked CC-B's car many a time (when he wasn't looking):D . But as in appearence...to each his own.

Personally, I don't really like ANY bodykit for the WRX. I think the problem with this particular kit is not that it's so ugly, but that it doesn't look very good on a car with the stock ride height. I haven't seen the kit on a car with lowering springs or coilovers, but I think it would make the bodykit look alot better. The stock wheels & tires don't help either.
128d 10-06-2002 01:56 AM

Thanks alot CC-B, but I have one more request. Do you think you could get a close up pic of the side scoop by the fog light? I really like the idea and look of those.
CC-B 10-06-2002 02:03 AM

Good thing I'm up late today

:p I think we got all angles covered now :D

Thank you very much CC-B. :D
TSINightFall 10-17-2002 07:36 PM

I installed this kit last weekend. It looks awesome on my black WRX. The rear underspoiler was a bit much for me, so I left it off.

Anyone want one cheap? :D

Front end. I have a better camera to use in the future but this will do for now.
TSINightFall 10-18-2002 06:45 PM

Do you have any problems with scraping the lip on driveways with your car lowered? I'm considering the Eibach Pro kit.
turbothisgirl 10-18-2002 07:07 PM

I don't mind the kit itself but I'm not a huge fan of that headlight overlay..

Hi:
I personally like the kit, but haven't yet seen it in silver.

Would someone post a pic of this kit in Silver?

Thanks very much
