Someone has tried; however, due to the hood being prone to damage the proper pressure is required.

oh yeah huh. eerrrr
| Kenji815 | 08-11-2004 01:42 AM |
yeah i don't think anyone can justify $300+ for 2 strut that open your hood..
when you could be spending that money on alot of other stuff..
plus how often you really need to keep your hood open anyways??

I think it would be nice when working on the car not to have the prop rod in the way.
| ScreaminFast | 08-11-2004 09:34 AM |
Those look nice, and they said it works on fiberglass/composite hoods, so I may get a set for my kaminari CF hood. I like the look of putting the prop rod in the hood latch for that "lower hood look" at shows. I may leave the prop rod in, or I may not.
Anyone think of contacting these guys and seeing if they'll make one for our trunks ;) :D

Those Redline's look nice. They have two models, what's the difference?
And they're cheap...well cheaper than the Prova's.

I have contacted them about trunk struts. They said that they have gotten several requests for them, but the more requests they get the faster they will work on them. So toss them an email if you want a set of trunk struts made.
The Elite kit comes with better hardware (powder coated black instead of a zinc finish), and better struts. Here is a comparsion chart between the standard and Elite kits. http://www.redlinetuning.com/QL-comp-chart.html
I have also let them know about NASIOC and mentioned a possible Group Buy. How many people would be interested in a GB for these hood struts?

i installed the kit from REDLIN TUNING only about a couple of weeks ago. They rock. only thing you need is a rivot gun but aside from that it was so easy... took about 40 minutes with just myself going really slow. i love it and i will vouch for the quality of their product.

Those prova hood struts are very nice though. You get what you pay for. The prova struts on Ferdie's car uses all the stock holes and components. No drilling or tapping required. I may get one this friday...payday!

Well, they have not developed the trunk set yet. That is why you need to email them and ask them when they will have them available. Kinda like when you were a little kid... "can I have one now? now? now? How about now? now?"
