eh its not that hard once you start..i thought i would mess up badly when i did mine but it came out nice. Just follow the steps and you'll be fine. Whats the least that can happen? if you screw up you can always buy a new headlight.

I'd rather not have to spend $299 USD for a new one...I paid a local guy to help me do mine!

 yeah true..but its really hard to mess up, if i were locals to you guys i'd do them. But if you decide to do it by yourself, do NOT touch the inside part of the lens or itll get cloudy.

Yes...but you have a bugeye right? ;) MUCH easier on a bugeye light...the guy who helped me was like "damn these are bigger lights, and an odd shape to work with." He said his bugeyes were easier to not mess up.

haha yeah the bugeye eye is easier haha, I did my sister's rsx lights and those were a little bit harder to pry apart, only I had to use a blowdryer cause it wouldnt fit in my oven  I guess the 06 would be a little tougher to get apart since its curvy.
06wrxkiid, good luck and yes...take your time!

You DO NOT need sealant...it will make it too messy, and maybe not fit together after. Just reheat the stock sealant, and press it together again. As for paint, I used plain old flat black Krylon.

ALRIGHT SERIOUSLY there has only been 4-5 full write ups including my own on this which tell you the exact sealent and everything. If you search you will find if you do as buddy above suggests you run the risk of not getting a good seal and you will have a leak where as by useing a little bit of black gasket sealant you wont have any leak issue garunteed.

I have had mine done for over 2 months now, in Vancouver...with rain, heat, humidity, etc etc....and have not had a problem at all without using extra sealant. I guess it also depends on how well you get them back together, but like I said...extra sealant is not a necessity. Oh, and there are several guys in the states that state the same info as me. Just my opinion.

Hahaha...it doesn't rain here! ;) j/k But honestly I have had ZERO problems with mine...and when I was getting my lights done, I drove home in the MOTHER of all rainstorms. I was thinking, ok here is a good test! What colour did you paint your again?

Be carefull when you have the plastic part out thats going to be painted, its very fragile around the area where the reflector is taken out.

Thanks for the compliment.
I personally would advice against it. It is hard to get them to come out looking perfect. And they arent painted on the inside. I was planning to get new wheels in Oct but couldnt wait to change the look so I went ahead and did it. I've already got a couple chips. I'll probably get them powder coated black next year so I have a nice extra set of rims. If I wouldnt have painted them I could have sold them or at least had a OEM set in perfect shape as backup. Basically if you are a perfectionist go with the powdercoating.
Duplicolor.
DE 1612 Gray Engine Primer
DE 1613 Gloss Black
HWP103 Clear
