Porsche Wagon

I've always wanted to see a wagon with this kit lowered so I had some fun in Photoshop... Thought I'd share my results :D That kit seriously looks so clean... I'm not sure who's car this is, I just saw it in some other thread (hope the owner doesn't mind)

After

Plus one with UK Sti rims for kicks... Not a perfect chop, but it gets the idea across (yes I know the brembo's are in the wrong position in the back ;) )

They attach with about six clips and double sided tape.

Are they difficult to steal?
I know someone running around here that has a set that I want...

Hahaha. Not funny. ;)
If anyone is seriously worried about theft: what with the way the clips attach, I think the window glass could possibly break but the visors would definitely crack if anybody tried to get those things off the car. So someone could steal them; but they would end up, more than likely, vandalizing the car the visors are on and would probably make off with near useless, but really expensive, visors that would probably be worthless at that point.

Well how do the doors open?... my truck's vent shades open with the door holding onto the door frame. If you were to crack the windows and stick your finger out, you'd hit the vent shade.
| 02R6 | 12-18-2003 03:44 AM |
The doors open like normal. The windows clear the visors no problem. With these, if you stick your finger out, it hits the visor, barely.
You can really only put the window down about an inch or so and be protected from rain. And even then, the water makes its way up the window diagonally and gets in at the top trailing edge of the window.
They're more for looks than anything else, if you ask me.
EDIT: I think I see what you're getting at; the visors attach to the the car itself, not the windows or doors. Specifically, the clips attach to the visors and then hook onto the car under the weather stripping where the windows sit against.

In the original pic, is that a real front end or a chop. I would definately want a bumper like that if I could get one.

So it's an actual Porsche front end that someone slapped on their WRX?

It's a bodykit like any other bodykit out there. Except this one is co-designed by Porsche if I'm not mistaken. I've seen pics of someone on this board (maybe from the NW) that has that front bumper on his wagon. I think Subie Gal might have those pics. btw, it's uber expensive also.
| Seraph | 12-18-2003 05:58 PM |
You can do a search for The WRX Type-Euro, thats what its called. Its from the same people (Porche) that did the B4's front end design.

japan parts sells the front end. i was tempted to get it but the increase thought of someone stealing my car for it kinda made me think otherwise. and the steap price helped with the no go thought

I can think of worse things to be compared to. My wife usually compares me to a jackass. :)
