Post your pics of Dual Muffler on GC8

Hi, lets see these dual mufflers.
If done right it's gorgeous, just look at new M3, new and old M3, Z06, RX-7, 350z, Tiburon made it look nice (or at least porsche did for them :D )
Any way, it's something i've been wanting to do for a long time, and now that I got some extra $$ burning my pocket I just need ideas....
melon shooters
I was thinking of something along the lines of scooby sport or similar, but closer to the middle on both sides.
I've seen good pics, but cant find anything to save my life.. If you got em, and are ashamed of it:rolleyes: just PM me.

I doubt it would be worthwhile.
A. 4-cylinder doesn't need a dual exhaust.
B. The underbody is not Cut out to have two mufflers or pipeing around there. Example, Suspension is in the way, and so is gas tank. Can't do it without having some sort of jacked up pipeing. Which is usually the case with cars that look like ass.
Just get a equal length headerback from MRT or Brullen, that should take care of your money issue. ;)

he said dual muffler not dual exhaust, the point of dual muffler is to make the car quieter without reducing flow, which I'm all for. The only subies I've seen with dual mufflers are SVXs I think they came that way.
I'm interested in doing in on my GC8 but I think I'll have to put them farther up before the rear axle.

About a month ago, there was a GC8 with a full dual exhaust on eBay... Maybe you can still find the link.

Hey, i agree. I dont need it, but I would like to have it, it just looks proportional and nice. (already got MRT :D)
With MRT the car is fricking loud, it was cool at first but it's just annoying now, if it can make it quiter I'm there. Covering the firewall with some kind of sound dentening material (like VW Passat) could be in order, but $$$....
any way, still not a pic

Stromung - I always have been a big fan of them regardles their mild steel rust issue. Best sounding exhaust ever IMO.
I'm Sporting a Brullen Catnack which is just like the Stromung in the picture (or Brullen) Can't possibly tell.
How many resonators can you stick inline? Do these restrict flow at all?
I guess if you want to stick another muffler inline you'll have to finda really small diameter canister or it will rattlle to hell against the heatshelds underneath the car.

looks cool, but it reminds me of a neon with dual tips, completely useless. Your money would be much more well spent on something else.............like pixy stix for example :p

I mean thats my point also. Even the SRT doesnt have a true dual exhaust.
But that Picture does look sick. :D

it's purely for sound, think of it as a radar detector, you don't get pulled over because the cops don't know your there, I know here in Florida it's accually illegal to have loud exhaust.

Neither does the new Legacy, nor the S2000, nor the M3 - but they all have the same setup. Each of these cars claims a performance gain because of it.
I, too, once thought it was for appearance only, and while I'm not entirely convinced otherwise, you can't discount it out of hand.

any time the exhaust flow changes directions it causes it to slow down, so any time the exhaust gases go through a Y or whatever other means to end up in a dual setup, theoretically you're losing performance.
I am doing it for looks. That pic above looks really good, i would not mind running that setup on my car. (already got 1 stromung next sunny day will check for spacing  )
Can any one tell me what rear skirt is on that car?

What he said!;) and thanks for the nice comment, Lumpy.:D
Sorry, I guess I misunderstood the request for dual exhaust and not dual-tip exhausts.
Machine Age Victim: great photochop! being a photoshop freak too, you need to lower the right one just a small bit.
I've seen a UK gc8, a black one, which had dual exhausts going out the side, much like the Saleen mustangs. I guess if you put enough power down, it really wouldn't slow the car down too much. But with only 165HP stock and AWD...our cars would be as slow as hell!! I mean it's slow enough already..even with the Stromung. Btw, I have the full stainless steel catback and no major rust issues at all! It is highly recommended!

Dude. Thats my car ;)
I think i know why people are against dual exhaust. The rear bumper is too tall, so it makes exhaust stand out too much. I'll look in aftermarket bumpers, perhaps, there is one with cutouts for dual exhaust to make em sit higher.
As far as evaporator unit, it can be easily relocated.

Stromung now uses 304 stainless steel through out so no worries on that issue anymore...
Mine sounds great:D
