I'm all for them. If the seatbelts are scratching your neck then get them.

Hey, if you NEED 'em you need 'em. They look horrible, though.

Put them on your luggage/laptop/book bag. I was thinking of getting some, but in black with STi on them. Going low key would be good here, unless you're getting Sabelt, Sparco or Takata.

They were a must-have back in like '00. Now all you see are ricer bois sporting them on teh vtec. But like someone already mentioned...if it helps your comfort level, do it.

my friend had some Mitsu pads in his Lancer Ralliart, first thought when i sat in it was "super tacky, throw them away now"

Rice......particularly since the cushioning can slow down your seat belt from locking in the event of an accident.

Rice.

 I still have two sets from like 6 years ago.
Whats been said is true though. My wife loves them because the GC style
RS did not have ajustable shoulder belts, and it keeps the belt from irritating
her neck.

those things are great for 1) really short people, if it cuts into your neck when it is adjusted all the way down, or 2) women that are well gifted in certain areas.
if you don't fit either of those, RICE!

They dont look like rice to me, im all for adding extra padding to uncomfortable seatbelts.

like mentioned earlier if you benefit from them, then go for it, based on aesthetics though..def rice..

those i think would look nice. they have subaru on them and look of somewhat quality. but if the are the autozone rice ones the pitch them. they are nice for long trips. if you want, keep them in the car and if someone requests them, give them to them, otherwise just leave them in your glovce box.

put them on the back seats or something like that.

I like em' except that the seatbelt doesn't wind back up right. Either you have to slide the cushion around every time you un-buckle or you have to deal with the seatbelt having slack in it, which can get caught in the door.
Ever close your door on the male end of the buckle? It's such a bad feeling when it sounds like it has either broken the buckle or dented/scratched the door.

Excellent solution, that way you only have those tacky things exposed when they're actually needed.

they're pretty sweet on bowling bag straps.

I like them. Make the seatbelts more comfortable.
