Show me you roll bar/ seat set ups.

Im waiting for my rollbar to come in from autopower (race w/ options). I was curious what seats everyone uses for track/ daily driving. Im pretty sold on the idea of gettting 1 Recaro pole position, along with a cost effective fia aproved harness. Lets see what youve got.

I am running the autopower bar, pair of recaro pole positions, and a set of takata 6 pts.

Jesus, I said that I wanted to get a "sparco" (gasp) pole position. Anyway, that set up is money drivrswntd. How does that seat treat you on long rides? I drive from savannah GA to RI every summer. I guess I could run with the stock seat for the summer if it were too uncomfortable; which im sure it is.

i love those brides!

I would sleep in them if i could. You will not find more comfortable seats than a recaro 1 piece. They are absolutley amazing. The seat is soo supportive and comfortable, i have friends who have taken naps in them on long rides. Can not beat a 1 piece for comfort.

StealthWRX your un is pretty funny man. I like your harness choice. How much do they go for if you dont mind my asking?
| StealthWRX | 10-13-2005 03:43 PM |
i was gonna get the takatas but they were like 450 a piece and the autopower harnesses were like a little under 200 a piece if i remember correctly. i couldnt see the need to spend that much more, when both harnesses are approved.
I am currently searching for GOLD harnesses. so if anyone knows where i can find some...i'll have these autopower harnesses for sale

When I sat in my friends bride seat, it held me really well. I thought that racing seats would be uncomfotable, but when I sat in it, it was really supportive and I wouldnt of minded a long ride

I just got my MOMO T-frame seat in last week. I'll throw up some pics when I get home tonight. I love it. About to knock off my first long drive it in, we'll see how it goes. Aside from the getting in/out of a bucket, I find it much more comfortable than stock (6'1, 150lbs)

I had Sparco Evos in my last track car. They're great for track days and they're very comfortable. However they are a PITA to get in and out of. I suggest that you only get a fixed back if its a track only car. Going from stock belts to 5pts make a huge difference in how well you're held in place. I use stock seats with more foam bolstering and 3" 5pts and they hold me very well during track days and autocrosses.

Quick snap of the seat. I;ll take better ones when everything is cleaned up and tidy. I really like the feeling of the bucket seats. It definately takes getting used to. The feedback gained from a fixed back bucket makes it well worth it. One can focus more on driving and less on staying in position.
Here she is. The flash did strange things to the colors, the yellow momo perfectly matches the steering wheel :P
