Anyone put this in the 05 rex yet?
veightkiller 10-16-2006 01:34 PM

i'd go with the spec-c and $336 is alot for tht kind of mod.
tacomaprime 10-16-2006 01:55 PM

Yeah, I have an 05, and My center console looks almost the same as that. I spent 5 bucks for a can of paint to do it.
sheepdog 10-16-2006 02:57 PM

Are the hvac knobs sold seperately? my dash is already painted but I'd like those matching knobs.
w.f.p.k. 10-16-2006 03:24 PM

What is different from this one and the spec c one that has been out for a while? It looks the same!

Celsius and Farenheit on the temp knobs?????????????
sheepdog 10-16-2006 07:30 PM

I used rustoleum textured paint for plastics. There are several threads around referring to prepping/what paint to use on plastic pieces.

STI-JDM is the members name, you can find numerous threads that he has started about all the CF that he makes, he is a very gifted man when it comes to carbon fiber.

I am actually not in boulder any more... :( :( I just moved to utah and i am in boulder withdraws. I actually never went to a meet there. Its kind of surprising since boulder is packed full of wrx's and subarus.

As far as the cf dash.

NewSTI 10-16-2006 11:29 PM

is it any different than the STI ones ??? i only see the knob face on HVAC is spec C look...
sheepdog 10-17-2006 04:34 AM

ill.... I'll still need the hvac control knobs black. has anyone pulled them apart to paint the silver surround part?
eric rxb 10-17-2006 01:24 PM

I don't understand why the Spec C kit is cheaper than the Limited Kit. Does this not really make sense to anyone else?
o2sys 10-17-2006 06:27 PM

is me or is the 07 limited dash isnt as black as the S203/S204 interior?

Quick question about putting this in a TR. I know subarugenuineparts says it will NOT fit, but arent the HVAC knobs in the Limited the same diameter as the HVAC knobs in the TR? If so, couldn't I just leave out the Limited's HVAC knobs? The trim piece would still fit over the TR's knobs, correct?
