Thoughts on this spoiler?

I would like to buy a spoiler for MY00 RS, but i dont want anything too ricey or too insanely expensive.
What are your thoughts on this spoiler?

the second spoiler is the sti cf spoiler. it will run upwards of $1400.

its important to note that there is a replica of the STi cf spoiler, not sure on the quality, but i think the sti look is closer to factory and therefore more subtle. The aluminum one up top looks very typical of a lot of cars out there, and depending on whether you're into the bling or not, it might be a bit too much

Yeah, thats kind of what I thought... but my friend put a spoiler similar to that on his Talon TSi. At first I thought is would look just plain stupid, but after we got it on, I loved it. It really added a lot of charachter to the car, and it dosent look cheesy at all.
What if the top spoiler was painted white, the same color as my car? Do you think that would look decent then?

Well if your description is correct the second spoiler will not fit because it's made for the 2002+ Imprezas it's the spoiler from an STi S202, I'm gonna guess around $2000+
As for the first one, it's kinda god aweful, but to each their own, Arospeed makes several versions of that and they're fairly cheap as well as procarparts.com has about 30 different rear park benches.

Believie it or not Vivid has the STI for $1299.00 :eek: mayb somewhere you can get it cheaper since they don'y usually have the lowest prices....... I want one though.

I saw an ad by JSP ( [url]http://www.jspamerica.com[/url] ) that has something that looks like the sti style, with a higher scoop section and seperate endplates, along with the first spoilers's towers, looks kinda like the two had a few drinks too many and got busy and this was their kid. Its a funny thing though, i can't seem to find it on their site, the name is the JSP Blade, another one is JSP Carbon Fiber Blade, it comes in 56" and 59", so the ad says.

I don't know... it's hard for me to live with a replica. I'd say save up the $$$ and buy the STi. You'll never have any regrets then... of course, I can't disagree that it's a buttload of money...
but if you show off your car, maybe the judges would appreciate the extra expense... ;)

Hmm... alright, well do you think Spoiler#1 would look better if it didnt have those cheesy supports?
Or possibly, would it look better if its lowered a little? Say, instead of being 11" high, it would be 7" or 8".

GT spoilers on GC8's look like crap.
In fact, GT spoilers on any car look like crap. They werent designed to look good. And they are on GT type race cars for function, not for looks.

I guess the reason why I want a wing so bad is because of my girlfriends 2.5RS coupe.

There are coupe spoilers all over the place in the private classifieds.

I'd throw the STI carbon fiber on my trunk in an instant. I'm really not a fan of any spoilers but I think it just looks sweet.
The other ones look exactly like the type you will find at an autozone next to the neon lighting.

=P, actually if you are hell bent on getting a GT spoiler and won't listen to us, I think you should go with the 1st one and not the second one...i think large spoilers (ie. 22b & V5/V6) make our style car look more complete. That mid-range STi spoiler doesn't look that fantastic =/

Honestly, i'm thinking about scrapping the idea of the GT spoiler, and getting something else... i've been looking at all the spoilers on [URL=http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=45]scoobymods[/URL] , and i think i'm going to save up for a while yet.
