Went for a run in an F40, amazing car.

I decided to pop over to Donington Park race circuit yesterday as a spur of the moment thing, as there was a big Ferrari race meeting/festival going on.
When i got there i thought, I wonder if Gareth is here so i phoned him, he was just a few hundred yards away, and best of all, he was in his F40! I have known Gareth about 5 years now but we have never managed to get together when he was in the F40, i normally meet up with him at the ring or at a UK race track when we are competing against him.
So we meet up and he introduces me to his mate, who has come along in a Lamborghini Murcielago :eek:
Next thing you know i am strapped into the F40 and heading for the roads outside Donington, hope you enjoy the pictures, this turned a few heads.

The F40 was built to celebrate 40 years of Ferrari cars, it was designed to be the ultimate with lightweight, lots of power and draw on the raceing cars knowledge. There is carbon everywhere, windup windows and a cord for the door opener are a few of the weight saving cues.
This particular F40 was first owned by Jay Kay of Jamiroquai, who has just bought a Ferrari Enzo, the latest top spec car, he reportedly says he prefers his old F40. :D
The F40 is my dream car, the first thing i would buy if i won the lottery. :D
The Lambo is huge if you compare it to other cars on the road, much bigger than the shape makes you think at first.

Wow, It really pleases me to see people who own exotics and actually use them. I would love to see the face of a celeberty when they get in their F40 and ask where the seat heaters are. Thanks for the cool pictures John.

Glad you like the pictures :D We should get some great footage in September as the plan is to take these two cars plus an F50 (and my STi :D) to the Nurburgring. :eek:
