what type of impreza is this?
Does anyone know what this car is, and also what kind of mods it would take to make a regular US-spec 2.5RS look similar? I like the look a lot more than the stock RS.. and it also reminds me of the old WRC car. In Europe there are a lot of GTs, but they look the same as the US-spec 2.5RS. So it`s not a GT... Maybe a WRX? If so is it possible to make a WRX-look GT or 2.5RS?

i only see silver and white imprezas in that picture :confused:
but my guess is you're talkinga bout the first one on the left

Dohh!! I posted the wrong picture. I think I had that one copied cause I was showing my friend how much easier it would be to find a car if I lived in Japan. Real, real smart :p. Here is the correct one. I am talking about how to convert a GC8 to look like this, not a new-age. GC8s rule!

yep..22B..the bumper and FENDER FLARES give it away....those are nice :D

Actually, it might be a real one. That is a dealership in Japan that specialises in WRXs, and maybe they took the photo because it`s real. Anyhow, is it possible to put a 22B bumper on a GC8 RS without any fender flares or other modifications? I would assume that once you start flaring the fenders, etc. it would get very expensive.

Yes, all the 22b stuff is available in replica form for the GC8 impreza. The only thing I haven't seen are the rear fender flares.

I guess I am just blind ( ;) ), but that black WRX looks to me like it has fender flares. If thats the case, theyre fake :p.
Or maybe the owner had it repainted black. I HAVE seen white 22b's before (rally cars), so there!! ;).

i think those are fakes, if you look at the hood, the 22B vents are larger than that i think, plus i remeber a site that actually sold the kit to make a coupe into a 22B replica, it was some japanese rally site

Mmmm ... 22B fenders. Seems kinda unlikely that one dealer would have 3 real 22B's and that one was repainted black. The rally cars (white one's or whatever color) look similar to the 22B's, but are totally different. The fenders and bumpers on the WRC cars aren't interchangeble with the 22B parts ... trust me. Oh, and the chassis is waaaay different.

Steve, I read every single post of that enormous thread on your fender kits. Damn. Big mistake. Anyway, to make a long story short, I won`t be able to afford it for a while ( I will be in school training to become what you are, need an intern/apprentice? I am in So. Cal.). But is there a chance you could make those same kits in fiberglass? If not, does anyone know of a place to find 22B lookalike kits that fit normal fenders? Sorry to pose that question, but I am sure Steve doesn`t want to start another project at this point... :rolleyes: I was recently involved in a 'never-ending' project that just kept getting more complicated. Rest assured, it was finally finished--about a week ago! You will be done, some day. Hang in there.

True. I guess there is no place to get a 22B lookalike bumper for regular fenders. BTW, that kit is for 4-door, and I know Steve was having problems with that. Maybe it`s worth a look at one of those for answers?

The 22B style bumper is known as the Sport Bumper. I remember seeing it in a STi brochure. It fits the regular fenders.
BTW, That body kit is soo sweet. :) Seeing so many STIs in one lot makes me sick in my stomach.

That HPI bodykit is for 4-door. Looking at the pic of those "may-be 22B's" , I'm not sure about the first one, but the black one and the further blue one look like 2-door to me. Oh well, if they can make a kit for 4-door, they must have a kit for 2-door.
