That key is actually teathered to the trunk - note the cable.
This is so a fast entry can be made to the trunk by driver / co - driver - to fix a flat / get the tow strap / get a fire ext. etc.
Almost all rally cars have some sort of system like this.

I most likely have, as I took over 500 pictures. It's just i didn't want to post like 50 pix from the same turn with just different cars. I selected those that were more interesting from the photographer's point of view ;)

I think it will be hard to find something with the civic since i know you guys were running very late and my driver was rushing us to leave soon so we can see more stages :-(
