We orderd our's and it is going to take 3-6weeks to get them. And the are about $150 - 210 shipped.
MrMajestic 09-24-2001 10:15 AM

Lucky me!

when I ordered my eyelids from jun, I got them in 3 days. I think they raised the price. They sent mine fedexd for a grand total of $120.
I think I was like one of the first guys to buy the things in the US.
4npower 09-24-2001 10:31 AM

Well i think ours came to a total of $140 but due to what happend in NY and DC Shipping crap is taking a lot longer to get threw Customs :(

Yes...they just stick on with some strong adhesive strips...

They are polly fiber or something like that, and you will have to get them painted (of course).

They seem really cheap when you get them, but they look good when painted.

Word of advice...there are rubber things that your hood comes down on to keep your hood from hitting when you shut it...well adjust them a so they are a little higher so the hood doesn't slam against the eyelid.

Try this

Click on English and off you go. Try not to drool to much at the PHAT Japanese parts.
SFimpreza411 09-24-2001 06:17 PM

hey..thanks guys for all the info ya have given me..really appreciate it, do i have to paint the eyelid myself? or is it already painted when i order it..which site do ya approve, the jun site or the other site? and how long would you guys think it'll take to recieve the product?..i've never order anything before, so i don't know about these things..hope you guys can teach me more..thank you guys again..

Why would you want to cover your front turn indicator? I know...for looks, but don't you want to be able to indicate your turns, or do you make some other provision for that?
SFimpreza411 09-24-2001 08:31 PM

as you can see, if you go to those links, the eyelid covers most of the signal indicators, but it leaves alittle opening, so you can still see part of the signal, so it's coo..

Another totally pointless fad item. Might as well hang tassles from the headliner or put chrome wheel arch trim on.

I won't knock the look of them, but they do nothing but impair the signal light output which helps nobody.
SFimpreza411 09-24-2001 10:38 PM

well, as an individual i like the way it looks, i know what i'm doing and if you don't have anything nice to say, keep it to yourself.

The king has no clothes.

Sorry for my honesty and the bluntness with which I have expressed it.
MrMajestic 09-25-2001 12:01 PM

Ummm

Thanks for your opinion, too bad it's WRONG!!!

hehehe, jk...I like them and that's all that matters to me.

Yeah, I guess I'm just the sort that prefers function over form. Sorry to be the raincloud.

Parade on.:D

I like the look of the eyelids, too bad i don't have an extra couple bills to buy them :(

Anybody think it's possible to make them out of like window tint or something? Just cut them out and stick them on? I just like the aggresive look, I don't think they need to be plastic...i think it would look good black on my car. Anybody have any ideas on what kind of material would stick good on the headlights, but also come off easily? How about that spray on bulb tint....does that wash off?
atf78 09-25-2001 10:44 PM

Philly Wrex, you could try using a vinyl decal. The stuff's dirt cheap and easy to apply and remove. I may try this on my Aspen White WRX soon. I did this on my Cougar and it worked quite well. it was just tough to match my paint color (Dark Metallic Green) with the vinyl.
JNaubur 09-26-2001 08:31 AM

Is it just me or is $120 a little much for 2 pieces of unpainted plastic and some 2 way tape? I like them, but come on. Can't someone just make a template of theirs and I'll make my own. Please?

That's the main reason I so rudely voiced my negative opinion about the things. I feel that they are just flat stealing at that price. I think the vinyl tape idea would provide a similar and satisfactory look for under $5.
DigitalRonin 09-26-2001 02:04 PM

I just bought a set off of E-Bay for $28 US.

A LOT better than the 150 or so some people are asking for.

Check E-Bay to see if any more are coming up!

4npower 09-26-2001 02:36 PM

Hey Digital can i get the ITEM# for the EBAY so i can see them ?
Because the ones are EBAY are for last years body style none for the WRX's
SFimpreza411 09-26-2001 08:36 PM

yeah..i've checked e-bay for the eyelids already, all they have is the old bodystyle one, not the 2002 ones..$130 is expensive for 2 pieces of crap..i thought eyelids would just be like 50 bucks max..but it's so expensive..

Kev
Philly WReX 09-26-2001 10:37 PM

I'm going to try the vinyl thing this weekend hopefully...just hope it sticks well. That way i can make whatever shapes i want...like more evil, less evil etc.
wrxboi 01-06-2002 04:40 AM

Remember guys, it's JUN. Anything they make is expensive. Just like STI or Prodrive.
Modern Garage 01-06-2002 11:23 PM

Modern Garage has the JUN eyelids in stock for $106.00 + freight.

STEVESblueWRX 01-07-2002 01:39 PM

cheaper way!!!

I just posted this response to another thread but all you need is a set of clear headlight covers $65 and a thing of touch up paint $7 and you can have the identical look for alot less money, plus you are protecting the whole headlight from rocks and debris. I wish I had a digital cam you cannot see the difference. Plus the covers pop on and off for night driving!!!
WagonRX 01-12-2002 07:09 PM

Where did you get the headlight covers ?
GoodFinder 01-12-2002 07:34 PM

Yes, which headlight covers for the WRX are you talking about?

GoodFinder :)

So thats what you did. It looked like you cut a piece of blue tape and stuck it on your head lights.
