To make your search a bit shorter ... my company is the one making the fenders. We were due to have the first set finished by the end of this month, but it's going to be delayed a few weeks. My partner who does the carbon work had a prior commitment to finish a Volvo show car for the Detroit auto show and had to work on that throughout the holidays.
Anyway, the kit will be $2500 for the following parts:
2 Front Fenders (carbon)
2 Rear Fenders (carbon)
2 Side Skirts (carbon)
1 Gas Filler Door (carbon)
1 Gas Filler Door Adapter
2 Inner Rear Fenders
Brackets to Adapt MY99+ Front and Rear Bumpers to Wider Fenders
Spacers for Rear Wheels (possible)
We will also provide 22B bumpers in the coming months.

PS-We are located in So. Cal., not Huntington, NY as in my profile - I moved.

From what I can see on Teague's page, those are the OEM 22B parts ... check the prices, one front fender is more than our entire kit, and those are steel not carbon fiber FWIW.

what is the widest wheel do you think you can fit with that kit? Make sure you make a lot of kits, I know I'll want one! [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif[/img] That's for the coupe, right? Or are you also making one for the sedan?

I would venture to say that the two kits would be the same.
Edit: I'm an idiot, of course they would be different!

Will the kit fit on 4 doors?
| stever | 01-17-2001 10:32 AM |
Stock 22B wheels are 8.5x17 with 235/40-17's, but I've been told that they can also run 9x17 (or 18's) with 245's. If it fits on a 22B, it'll fit under these fenders. I'm going to try to stuff the following combo under mine: front: 235/40-18, rear: 265/35-18. They have just about the same rolling radius so it'll be OK for AWD. Definitely will need coilovers to free up some space for the rears for 265's.
The 2dr. kit won't fit a 4dr., but we're doing a 4dr. kit shortly after the 2dr.

Please let us know what suspension changes have to be made and the tire/rim combo you use for testing. TIA.

| JZ oo7 | 01-17-2001 09:08 PM |
why not turbo and these fenders? hehe...
stever:
do i have to use spacer for these kits? what i've heard is that with spacers i can't make turns as fast anymore.

Steve,
Let me know when you release this kit, I'm down for it. I found an outfit in Japan that was doing it, but were much more expensive.

jetfreak - There are no susension changes needed other than some spacers for the rear if you want to run the same offset wheels front and rear. I will let you know what I can get to fit. Right now, I'm looking at Kinesis K28 wheels, S-02's and DMS 50mm coil-overs. I know that this is probably out of most budgets, but I'll get the numbers (offsets, etc.) of what will fit.
STiShawn - no-one has this kit yet.
WRX oo7 - The spacers are on the rear only, and only if you want to use the same wheels front and rear. They are only 15mm and shouldn't affect anything. I realize that there has been a lot of concern over wheel bearings, but Paul Eklund said that there should be no problems with 15mm. He's got a lot more experience than I and I trust he knows what he's talking about.

McCavity - I'll keep everybody up to date on shipping dates, and I'll post some pics of the fenders when they're done. I saw the Japanese kit too ... it was a lot more and it was fiberglass instead of carbon.

I have a four door and I was wondering if the rear fenders will be bolt on or will we have to go to a body shop to have them installed?? AND, will the kit come with instructions for these people?? thanks, please please make the four door kit!!! The 4dr. kit will come out in early Spring and the rear fenders will be two-piece. The front piece is bonded to the rear doors and the rear piece is bonded to the rear fenders. The fronts are bolted on, but the rears are bonded to the originals.
We'll include instructions and templates for cutting, etc. the original rear fenders.
And, don't worry ... 4dr. is definitely coming.

Cusco GT300 Kit is definitely a GOOD idea =)
Stever do you have a pic of the 22B kit? (I know it's supposed to look like the 22B... I just want to see how well your kit does that)

lo0pback - I posted some pics last month of the prototype pieces on my car in the "Private Classifieds" forum. They are pretty much exactly the same shape as the 22B fenders.
